Afghanistan War - West Winning Or Losing The Battle?

There has been a shocking increase in the number of western casualities in Afghanistan over the past couple of weeks.

According to history the Afghan army has defeated many so called foreign powers over the centuries. Notably , BRITAIN AND RUSSIA

Why has Afghanistan been so difficult to conquer? First, there is its hostile terrain. Then there is the harsh weather - with very

hot summers and freezing winters. The Afghan people are fiercely independent and highly skilled in mountain warfare.

Can the Western Coalition ever hope to prevail in this wild, mountainous and strategically crucial nation?

What are they so desperately looking for

@Beaf,

Where do you get these crazy phrases like "scandalous pride" and "leaves of a hate manual"?

What did you just do? Provide links for them to check out so that they will realize that they have been floating on this topic since yesterday?

Na wahooo! You too good. For me, I prefer they remain where they are as far as intelligence and intellectual discussion go.

It is not what you think that matters it is the reality that matters. No one on this forum can state that I have ever insulted him/her for disagreeing with a position but many will agree that I usually respond to them.

Maybe you need to reproduce any post where I started any insult (not responding to one) on any thread not just in your case but on any one on this forum.

Truth is always steady but lies will always fall like a pack of cards.

Will you shut up and stop spamming!

You are the problem and no matter how many times you rant, it would'nt change the fact that you've always started the barage of insults

One minute he states he believes his insults should be ignored.

The next minute he reverses his position and claims I was the one doing it.

One thing I don't do and will never do is insult anyone just because I disagree with him/her. What for? When there are so many reasons to back up any position or even accept making a mistake or an error in judgement.

You don't have to change your ways especially if that is how you disagree with your parents at home so do not imagine for one second that I am trying to make you change your childish and silly ways. Just carry on. At least you have been dismissed on so many threads on this forum based on that and I guess the shame is on you.

People only resort to insults when they are faced with superior logic on any issue otherwise why would insult be the chosen path to defending a position?

Oh shut up you LIAR!

You've always started the insults in our encounters simply because you lack basic understanding of concepts, contexts and the use of words. You're so sensitive that you interprete EVERYTHING as an insult. . . .why the sensitivity? Probably coz you're trying to mask your ignorance and vitriolic bias towards the issues at hand.

I should ignore the insult? Was that what you were thinking when you started insulting me just because you disagreed with my opinions?

Sorry to disappoint you as I will always respond to insults by people like you so that you understand that you cannot use them to dictate the pace or direction of any argument.

Educated minds should be able to agree or disagree on issues without resorting to insults. That you freely insult people and expect them to ignore you shows that you are either a kid or you are plain silly to have such belief.

Just look at him disgracing himself!

Even if someone insults you shouldn't you ignore as you claim to be a honourable and decent man?

We know you Afam, you can't pretend. The truth is you enjoy the insults and most often than not throw them first to mask your ignorance!

@yommyuk.

They won't give evidence because there isn't any. And even under the slightest scrutiny their claims fall apart.

Take the oil/gas pipeline that they're burbling about.

As I've already stated, it would be Asian gas pumped to Asian countries. Nothing to do with the US or NATO. They can't even claim that it's a US company controlling the oil as, although the pipeline was proposed 10 years ago by a US company, that company doesn't even exist any more. And let's not forget that was all it was - a proposal. Not so much as a ditch has been dug to accomodate any pipeline in those 10 years.

They also totally overlook the fact that any pipeline through Afghanistan to Pakistan and India (the intended receivers) from the Caspian would have to run through Iranian and Russian territory. Now I don't know about the two dipshits, but any logical person with an ounce of sense would realise that the NATO countries are trying to steer clear of letting Russia have any more power over energy (they already hit Europe when they turned off the gas to Ukraine) and there is no way that they would want to lay a pipe through Iranian territory (and that's even if the Iranians would let them).

Let's also not forget the fact that it would be impossible to guard a pipeline through Afghanistan and protect it from sabotage even if the Taleban were completely defeated.

I guess common sense is totally out of the window where those two cretins are concerned.

I don't answer questions put forward by bastards and idiots. How many times will I state this for you to understand?

Do I need to print out the content, shred it, soak it in water, split your dumb skull open and pour the mixture in space where the brain ought to have been and use super glue to keep the two parts of the silly skulls together before you will understand basic things?

You are simply suffering from gross ignorance.

0

And you're such a cretin that you don't even realise that the spelling I've used is slang for that word.

As for your claim about oil and gas? You've shown nothing of substance. I've already pointed out to you that the oil company you've bleated on about doesn't exist and that the gas pipe (which is only proposed, let alone built) will be delivering Asian gas to Asian countries.

Boring.

All you can do is throw the odd lame insult without ever addressing the issue.

The only sensible part of you ran down your mothers leg when your father pulled out.

Are you just going to post more drivel or are you going to actually answer the question of what NATO has to gain by being in Afghanistan? See, a fool like you has no understanding of world social stability. If you did, you would realise that Afghanistan is a global issue that affects every nation on this planet.

If NATO fail there, you better start getting measured up for your burkha my friend.

Empty barrel. It is obvious your parents did a very bad job in bringing you up even though it is understandable considering the fact you were an unwanted child that came as a result of mistake. A simple condom would have saved the world the embarrassment called Bastage.

It seems that there is a lot that you don't know about. The topic in hand being just one example.

So, what does NATO actually stand to gain from being in Afghanistan then? Oil? Gas? Muslim babies for Madonna to adopt?

Come on . Time to put up or shut up.

Or perhaps it's because my outlook on the subject is not clouded by the ignorance that seems to fall heavily over your eyes. You and the other dipshit here have offered nothing in the way of refuting factual evidence other than a couple of tenuous conspiracy theories. Do you really expect people to treat you seriously when you argue from such a ridiculous position?

No. I would suggest that it indicates exactly the opposite. That I'm fully confident of my understanding of the subject and am tired of reading the drivel written by uneducated buffoons

Nor yours Naughty Person. Or did you think that racism and conspiracy theory is classed as "politics"?

Seems this guy is reading a script he picked up from CIA or FBI office or even from Bush or Cheney's laptop. Real shame.

Keep telling yourself that.

What do you expect from someone that starts a response to a post with "Afam. You are an ?" Clearly shows that you feel inferior and lack confidence in yourself.

It may make sense for you to go back to the Religion section where you constantly spew rubbish. Politics is certainly not something you can dabble into even if every single material is made available for you.

Wow!! That link shows that some Arabs got on an aeroplane.

If that doesn't prove that 911 was a conspiracy by the New World Order and carried out by Bin Laden in the pay of the Jews then what does?

Seriously. What a load of bullshit.

And as to the links you posted earlier regarding the Yanks wanting Afghanistan for the oil? ROFLMAO. The 1st one refers to an oil company that doesn't even exist any more, the second to a gas pipe carrying gas to Asia and the 3rd to a very tenuous conspiracy theory.

Let me just point out the facts.

Afghanistan was a hotbed of extremism threatening to destabilise it's neighbours - especially Pakistan.

Afghanistan was the launchpad for the attacks on 9/11 - threatening to destabilise the wider world.

Now if a few dipshits here can't understand basic logic and work out why NATO is in Afghanistan maybe they'd be better off leaving the serious discussion to those with brains and go spend their time on www.disney.com where their fairytales and fantasies will be more at home.

@Afam. I don't see anyone being punished here intellectually by either you or beaf. What I do see is a couple of idiots trying to act smart but just looking totally dumb.

0

@Beaf,

Why are you punishing this guy? He has made it clear that he is incapable of using his brain to think through anything let alone read anything clearly and thoroughly.

Have mercy on this guy as he has embarrassed himself very well on this forum that he hardly posts anything again as almost everyone he engages is telling him he is a huge clown and an empty barrel.

I am begging you on his behalf, please.

I didn't need to proffer any links, the one provided by you says it all and exposes your lie. Only fools shoot themselves in the foot!

Look at the both of them, what a digrace!

I'm quite sure the narrow minded beaf didnt fully read the links he posted. He just saw "bin laden" "flown out" "after 9/11" - your decerebrate brain decided this was an article that supported your anti-western sentiments. Illiteracy is a disease. Next time beaf take care to read articles and make sure it was written by an america hater like you so it could have some coherence with your baseless conspiracy theories.

@beaf.

so is this your pathetic evidence??

You made it sound like it was an illegal conspiracy and was done in collusion with osama bin laden. You conviniently fail to mention that flights where initially grounded and their departure was when flights were REOPENED 3 days later. and based on appeals from the 24 innocent family members {who's only crime is to belong to bin laden extended family} and the saudi royal family for their safety were flown out. This was done to avoid reprisal attacks and further unrest as there had been violence and sporadic unrest against arab americans. That is the way a responsible and democratic government works, unlike the terrorist and oppressive regimes you love. You expect them to be arrested because they're related to bin laden? It was clearly stated that ALL of them were estranged with the terrorist war lord and by no means had anything to do with 9/11. That is called TRUTHFUL JUSTICE no sentiments, prejudice or bias against them.

All these you ignore only to declare

"bin laden family was flown in a chartered plane after 9/11 at a time when flights where banned. Its well known that george bush had business dealings with the bin ladens" - Isn't your dishonesty and monumental bias glaring?? And you bodly declare i will survive by god's grace when all you do is peddle lies. What a sad shame.

'(Washington, DC) -- Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, today released new documents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (“FBI”) related to the “expeditious departure” of Saudi nationals, including members of the bin Laden family, from the United States following the 9/11 attacks. According to one of the formerly confidential documents, dated 9/21/2001, terrorist Osama bin Laden may have chartered one of the Saudi flights.'

I think you're right yommy. Terrorists and fundamentalist islamists would always be in afghanistan. NATO should have just done a strike and withdraw. Its like a weed, it grows and you cut it down and leave, next time you see it growing you go cut it down again and on and on. Its far cheaper and less lives would be lost.

What gives NATO the right to bomb them?Who are they to dictate to them how they should live their lives?Do you know how many people die every hour from domestic/gang violence in the U.S?How would it sound if Russia wanted to send a "special" force into the U.S to combat the daily violence?Completely RIDICULOUS no doubt.Every race in this world has the tendency of being violent when pushed to the wall.Tell me, during the 90's, how many suicide bombings/attacks did you hear off from the middle east.It was quite uncommon during those days (when the Bush Snr.,Clinton and Saddam where in good terms and most importantly, doing good business).Everything started going downstream when the U.S wanted to play the bully and also play the puppeteer. That my friend, is when things started getting awry (the signs have been on since the 80's though but it was managed to a certain degree).

Let the truth be told. The level of violence in the middle east was and still is being perpetrated by the western forces. If you have read "The Prince", you'd understand the whole play. The easiest way to overthrow or destroy a family, community or country ignite disagreements and bias between them.By the time their unity is shaken to its roots, the rest is easy. This is what they did and they succeeded after capturing Saddam.Saddam was the glue that held the middle east together (dont know believe all that demonizing of him over the CNN,BBC and EURO news).
