There appears to be a new Wizkid-Drake collaboration coming up, and this time, it will be a Wizkid project. Following the huge success, ‘One Dance‘, recorded worldwide, Wizkid has again teamed up with Canadian rapper, Drake, on a new song.
Who would have thought? Or found a place in their wildest imagination where Drake and Wizkid collaborate three times within the space of a year? Yes, it’s true! If this finally sees the light of day, it makes Wizkid the first Nigerian artiste to have collaborated with the hottest US act thrice in one year (for all it is worth.)
Now, Wizkid and Drake are preparing to create something incredible and unique in music. The song has not yet come out, as has already received positive reviews. The entertainment platform Billboard describes the song as one “[which] could very quickly become a dancefloor magnet.”
Wiz and Drizzy first found the middle ground to collaborate on ‘Ojuelegba,' a song off Wizkid’s sophomore studio album “Ayo (Joy).”Well, Drake had heard the song from UK Grime artiste Skepta and wrote a verse in a song, which birthed a nice international remix.
The temporary duo worked again for song ‘One Dance’ that has been the biggest pop single of 2016, this song stayed per 9 weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 Chart.
Now it appears things are going to go full circle with a new collaboration coming in hot from Wizkid’s end of the divide. Thus, Wizkid again gets a positive progress in the music at the international level, despite the fact that his image was repeatedly spoiled among the various dramas of social media.
