Rumours of the two stars coming to Kenya started circulating three months ago.
According to the rumour then, Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho, was working on bringing the American superstar to Mombasa for a concert.
So far, none of that has been confirmed since Mombasa Rocks has organised the event.
Sources have also that Joho plans to revolutionise the party scene in Mombasa in a bid to attract investors and open up the county for more business opportunities.
“We wanted to make it a surprise for everyone, that is why we did not say anything before, until we were near the concert date,” said Alexadre Helaine, marketing manager Moet Hennessy eastern Africa, the key sponsors of the event.
This will be the first visit to Kenya by the American singer whose real name Christopher Maurice.
The singer, songwriter, dancer and actor was involved in his church choir and several local talent shows from a young age.
