Why Do Yoruba Girls Not Mind Being 2nd, 3rd 4th And Even 5th Wives?

Why do yoruba girls prefer to be 2nd, 3rd 4th and even 5th wives?

are you listening to him.

The woman is half Egyptian- unless her mother lost all contact with her people, she should still have Islamic influence before meeting Olabowale and his tall tales.

and knowing how strict the culture is over there with "half and halfs", I dont see why he keeps shouting he has an "Igbo" wife unless its for Islamization purposes in Igboland.

her name is Ada, when she married Olabowale, she got a Muslim name hence Zainab

how many Igbo do you know with a name like Zainab?

Dont mind olabowale's half-truths: going by her Egyptian roots, the woman was probably born and raised Muslim before meeting him. So polygamy wouldnt be strange to her in any way.

Unless you are in denial Amaka, Tpia only responds when people start poo about Yorubas

It's that simple.

with that said, can tpia and osisi cool it?

Zeynab is under the influence of a powerful juju spell cast by a powerfull babalawo in Ijebuland

Her eyes will soon clear.

I bet you her parents have cried their eyes out and cursed the Yoruba man that did this to their daughter.

Last I checked Zenayb isnt Yoruba

are you aware of the history of polygamy in the country? You think it's a tribal thing?

What a slowpoke.

@ tpia. you seem to have a lot of animosity towards igbos, why?

dont forget how i first encountered you on nairaland over a silly comment you made.

and dont say anything, cause i didnt even know who you were to not like you ahead of time.

THAT is what made me see how fishy you are.

you say you are not yoruba, why do you feel the need to play captain save a ho all the time, and waiting at your computer waiting to pounce on anyone who says anything "wrong" ? but dont hesitate to join the parade in the attack on igbos with your petty comments.

eh? what is it with you?

a married woman with children, here having tribal wars with "kids"

na wetin?

she talks like she has a romeo sef, lol

0
Avatar

^^ speak as you like jare. You've dated a few so you know Yoruba men inside out more than their own mother sef.

Being married is no reason not to appreciate the charms of Yoruba males- they cant help being wanted by females from all over. Nice to know something desirable can come out of the Yoruba stinkiness and skankiness.

at least I assume you searched the length and breadth of Igboland and still found no one who could erase the memory of your Yoruba romeos.

na so e be.

shell probably come back with her cheap lines of how they dumped you, and an igbo guy came to your rescue and thats why you love them so much.

lol DAMN! she beat me to it, it was close enough

hmmmm we shall see. . .

Yoruba men make good lovers, they are also very romantic smooth talkers but have a hard time being faithful to one wife.

I think it's because many Yorubas are products of polygamous homes and I guess children repeat the examples  set by their role models aka parents.

A girl or boy raised in a polygamous home is likely not to see anything wrong in repeating the pattern set by their parents and this modern times when polygamy is dwindling in many parts of southern Nigeria, polygamy still thrives well in the Yoruba nation due partly to their high Muslim population cmpared to any other region in the south.

I know the poster started this with mischief in mind but it's no secret that besides Hausas, Yorubas are the second most polygamous tribe in Nigeria.

It is not unusual for a Yoruba man to have a lot of children outside of wedlock with known concubines.I'm not saying Igbos are saints but Igbos are generally more committed to monogamous relationships than Yorubas.

The courts in western Nigeria are innundated with married women seeking to be disentangled from their absent husbands who abandoned them for other wives and women.

Any Yoruba person denying this rampant polygamous and concubine keeping and breeding tendency of Yoruba men is telling a lie.

@ brooklyn, if they send you tell them you didn't see me. If you think i'm gonna trade words with you over an irrelevant issue that won't add anything important to my life, then u're in 4 a disappointment. Shut-your two tyme whining hole and look for someone else to bother. Still doesn't change what i said.

lol. . . did i hit a nerve.

Who said America is ur country, u must be having a beautiful nightmare (anywayz only in ur dreamz) illegal immigrant like you seeking refuge in another man's country, who dash you.

Truth hurts, u can go jump into d ocean 4 all i care.

They are just christians for show, they still practice tradition. A real christian stick with just 1 wife, and a real pastor or rev. Father would advise them to stick to 1 wife. That's if they even attend a church.

@poster:

Quit catching straw. You are picking a few Igbo examples but we are talking of wholesale Yoruba culture. There you have the difference. This server will crash if I post Yoruba own

being a 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th wife is a choice. no one forced the lady into it. polygamy aint yoruba but african so y wld an insane person just come on board and start tribal issues.

@poster, u said u have nacked 65 yoruba girls in 65 days, from the way i see u. u look more like some1 who patronizes ashawo joints alot. Na die u dey die go if u dont reduce ur sex urge cos u fit catch that thing soon.

Bode George is a Christian and he has 6 wives. Obj is a Christian and he has many concubines including his daughter inlaw. Multiple marriage in Yorubaland has nothing to do with religion. It is their culture to sleep with many different men and women. Even Nike Oshinowo (former miss Nigeria) is CURRENTLY in the news for sleeping with another woman's husband

same thing with christians, but i can care less.

well she did insult the religion " maybe its Mohammed that encourages them so they can get their reward from Allah". sad attempt at a joke considering we all know how touchy and sensitive moslems are when u make fun of their religion

@Nellaluv u know u sound mad ignorant right? u dont do yorubas or yorubas dont do u? and what was that insulting statement u made about the religion of islam

p.s:u kinda look like this looney woman that sings every day on the L train talking bout she's Jesus. u got the same size big head. woulda thot it was you, but i doubt the United States will allow someone like urself permission into this beautiful country of ours.

this guy, i see your plan.

you are opening up useless threads just to turn everyone against each other to say hateful things to one another.

and let me tell you, you are a serious .

why are you opening tribal threads all over the place?

look, let me tell you a fact:

Nothing you complain about in Yorubaland which cant be found in your own village.

So try to do the right thing for once in your life and desist from this silly warmongering.

If the truth wallops you in the face now you'll start crying.

Theres no such thing as a fatherless person in youbaland

Everyone has a mother and father whether divorced or not

with your type of thinking I can understand why igbo women marry the most outside tribe, even more than "whorish yoruba gals and underaged hausas babes".

Single igbo mothers holla @ me- theres no reason to be ashamed of being divorced and raising your children on your own.

0
Avatar

There are many fatherless Yoruba children (single mothers); I wonder if it has to do with all these early marriages and divorce that is commonplace there?

polygamy isnt a yoruba thing its an african thing and a choice

no yorubawoman WANTS to be 2nd wife.

But if the price is right anywoman is going to marry a rich guy.

If Aliko wanted to take an igbo, ijaw, edo wife im sure they'll flock over to him
