Hardly does a day pass by in Nigeria without we hearing news of different forms of crimes. These crimes most of the time, are committed by our youths. Scams, forgery, theft, street fights, and other crimes are daily reported in our newspapers,TV and radio stations. The amazing thing however is that these culprits have families, some are church and mosque- goers, while some are even Students. In a world in which we all get informed about the Dos and Donts of the society, where then do these people's mentalities got tempered with. Who is to blame for their rascalities.?? Is it on their parents/guardians,the governments, our religious bodies, our teachers or they, themselves. Let's hear your opinion!!

This is a very serious question. High crime level is a daunting problem of Nigerian society. The responsibility should be shared between the parents, religious ministers, educators and government. If a country does not have a fair and working legislation and police system, people go unpunished for such crimes as fights, rapes and thefts. They feel like they can do it, so why not?

The morals have to be installed by parents and their upbringing. Then the discipline has to be supported in schools and churches. Finally, the government and legislators should provide the working system of courts and police to provide adequate punishment for crimes.

The blame goes to the parents or guardian who didn't give their children the basic home training and also to our corrupted society that make the trained ones go astray.

Its our life. we decide who we wish to be. I think the blame should be mostly on the offenders. They have chosen to taken that part and should be blamed for it...
