Knowledge can be expressed in words. And the understanding is knowledge at the level of images: I know, but can not say. For example, a child touches a hot kettle. Burned. More he will not touch the hot kettle is understanding. But if he can say "to the hot kettle not to touch, because you can burn yourself" is knowledge. knowledge - cramming and empty mechanical storage, not onlycause distortion , and the understanding - the understanding, and, as a consequence, the correction of errors. Understanding is the being of meaning, in contrast to explanations that only brings the unknown under the known. Both these cognitive procedures are different from knowledge. Knowledge is the result and the process of cognitive activity in General.
