Lmao! See threat na. Abeg make una free me. I no follow una for all that deep theatrical philosophies. I'm just a movie buff who loves to be entertained and I don't see how I'll be by watching a bunch of horses jumping around during the cold war abi it is WW2? LOL! Okay now you all can g'head and eat me alive. * runs away from thread*

I really can't wait for your feedback on Homeland. Oh heem gee! Meanwhile Spartacus is coming back in a few weeks. Yaaaay! And Revenge was rather boring last night. I was like snooze fest much? *rollseyes*

Lmao!

Some movies do look promising. Until you see it.

I'll try to slip one of the trilogy in this weekend. I'm only half way through with homeland.

Ah an Igbo girl like me has absolutely nothing to do with a horse feem at all hence I wont be watching. It seems movie makers are lacking creativity and fresh ideas. "Safe House" with Denzel looks promising. I'll definitely be watching for sure.

Yeah the original is just awesome. I'd suggest you see it before at least the Golden Globes. I was gonna go to the movies this weekend but nothing good is coming out so. . . .

I'm not excited. Haven't been excited about movies for a while. They just seem not to be coming up to my expectations. I might still watch it because it's SS. Just to see how it goes.

I saw you watched the original dragon tattoo. I still haven't gotten to it yet lol.

I've heard that Iron lady isn't that great according to Ebert. I seldom heed to reviews though.

I feel this thread is for people who are almost borderline critics themselves because some of the movie description sounds rather errr "experienced"? I'm just an avid movie fan jare. I like it then I watch. Either a thumbs up or down for me. Some of the back and forth on this thread bin just give me small headache now sef

Spikyn! This must be a good omen

The industry is freefalling jor. Real unforgettable film are not being made anymore. The only really refreshing and pleasing thing about this millenium is Nolan and the odd film.

@iice I feel you. Still rewatching trailers for "Safe House, This Means War, The Avengers, TDKR & MI:GP" to amuse myself

Heard about "The Dictator"; There's already a classic "The Great Dictator" which is unmatchable so I am quietly pissed waiting for this,

Just saw the trailer for The flowers of War.

I wanna see it. A piece of history that isn't well known.

I was reading a blog earlier on, on oscar contenders for Actors.

This year seems to yield a bigger pool, no one is like the outright frontrunner.

But what about favourite non-superhero action film(s) of 2011 so far?

Laurence Fishburne to play Perry White in Zack Snyder's Man of Steel (2013).

Did y'all see the trailers for RED TAILS (2012), BATTLESHIP (2012), and CONTAGION (2011)?

Maybe uncanny is a bit too much. What I was referring to is the logic ridden apathy of Dr. Manhattan compared with the grand sociopathic psyche of the alternate Batman.

0

Lol. Maybe y'all should just read the script. It was my most anticipated trailer the year it came out. The only flaw is the costume. But then not really, if you know what I mean.

Has anyone seen Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths? Are the similarities with Watchmen not uncanny?

I have seen it but not sure of what similarities? Do you mean with the Owl character?

@Vieira

X-Men 2, Iron Man and Batman Begins are still better than that wack film called WATCHMEN aka WASHMEN.

@iice

I just hope it won't be wack or else it will be called Battle$hit.

Y don't all these music artistes stick to d music recording studio n concerts? They are so annoying when they try to act. Ludacris in max payne, alicia keys in smokin aces, etc so many of them. They need to 'graduate' not just 'attend' acting skool. Habaa!!!!!!!!

Battleship

Release date: May 2012

Production budget: $200 million

Director: Peter Berg

Cast: Taylor Kitsch, Alexander Skarsgard, Liam Neeson and Rihanna.

It's based on a video game of the same name. I just hope it doesn't end up being called BATTLE$HIT.

@Vieira

He tried but fumbled at the end of the day.

If a wack film like Watchmen is good, what will you call superhero films like BATMAN BEGINS, THE DARK KNIGHT, SPIDER-MAN 2, INCREDIBLES, IRON MAN and X-MEN 2?

0
Avatar
Newbie

What I was trying to say is that Synder can produce a good film like Watchmen when there is a good script.

So if he has a good script (Nolan) and not one he wrote himself, then I say we are in good hands.

0
Avatar
Newbie

iice, no worry I am sure that Nolan will guide Synder down the right path.

Remember Watchmen?

0
Avatar
Newbie

@Darthmaul and Vieira

Christopher Nolan, Jonathan Nolan and David S. Goyer wrote the script. So, lets see how it goes anyway.

As for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, I'm wondering why the entire film can't be shot with IMAX cameras.

Isn't Nolan a producer on Superman?
