1. Glamour girls (1994)
This movie was the most ambitious and daring at that time because it was different from that stereotypical themes such as family squabbles and rituals. “Glamor Girls” was focused on power, fame and sex.
The movie was extravagant and classic in every scene. Each location illustrated a society which pays a lot of attention to material things. Most moviegoers praised the actors for bravery, even though certain scenes were criticized for vulgarity and lack of clothes.
2. Sango – The legendary African King (1997)
Alaafin Sango wanted to send off his wives which brought him many troubles. However, he was so worked up that he started to emit fire from his mouth. When he was going to destroy his enemies at the war, he again belches fire, which has no limitation.
3. Living in Bondage (1992)
The movie was written by Okechukwu Ogunjiofor and Kenneth Nnebue, directed by Chris Obi Rapu and produced by Kenneth Nnebue. “Living in Bondage” is a Nigerian drama thriller. The story which told in the movie is about the man who killed his wife in a ritual sacrifice because he wanted to advance in power and wealth. However, not everything is so easy and, as a result, the man is hunted by his wife’s ghost.
4. Silent night (1996)
The movie is about the student who searches for excitement. He joins the gang of armed robbers and thinks that this action will make his life more interesting. Subsequently, his father is forced to sentence the son to death by firing squad.
5. Igodo – The land of the living dead (1999)
The story told in the movie is about the village which suffers from the curse laid on it, so people are dying randomly.
The Igwe calls a meeting of the witch doctor and the elders. One elder tells the story of Amadioha, the secret of which is the key to the village’s sorrow. They select warriors who go to the evil forest on a quest to retrieve one weapon which will salvage their community.
6. Issakaba (2001)
A group of strong men with supernatural power are employed to rid the corruption-ridden land. These people, called Bakassi Boys, are protected by the charm, so they are able to avoid the injury from criminals’ bullet and, finally, to detect innocence or guilt through the magic use of their machetes.

7. Egg of Life (2006)
The movie “Egg of Life” is about a king whose only son “Ikemefuna” is an “ogbanje”. The boy promises to his spiritual friends to fall thick all the time when he will become mature. However, he loves his mother so much, that when the time came, he refused to keep his promise. Consequently, his spiritual friends took his life. The King was very disappointed and called the Chief Priestess to reveal the mystery of his son’s death. The movie was directed by Andy Amenechi.
8. Bloody money (1997)
This film shows the connection between poverty and wealth. Human bodies are needed to vomit or give a birth to wealth. “Lord Spiritual,” who is the leader of the cult, tells the new member Mike that their cult operates like a bank. Mike must need to take a little risk and make plenty of money. However, he can join the cult only when he will pass through the body of a vulture for three days.
9. Karashika (1996)
The film is about Satana who eats his way into the souls of the living. He wants to recruit new followers for his kingdom, therefore, he sends out Karashika, the queen of demons, to the world of the living. There she seduces and misguides many people, who fall prey to her. But the last fall for the temptation and is saved from the fulfillment of their desperate wishes, or sex, or money. A pastor, the last one, resists all temptation. He is saved from hell through divine intervention in a final shadow between Karashika and her helpers and a Pentacostal congregation.
The film was directed by Ifeanyi Ikpoenyi and many famous actors were starred for “Karashika” such as Becky Okorie, Sandra Achums, and Obi Madurugwu.
