Are there services that allow you to talk to a pastor or a counselor online? Can you text them and have them call you back or at least pray for you? Yes, there are. Meet them here.
If you are going through hard times in your life or are experiencing temptations that you cannot share with your friends, you can always seek consulting or help online. You don’t have to worry if you want to stay anonymous. These services are based on the principles of confidentiality, so you won’t have to worry that someone might learn about your problems.
There several services we have found online which work in pretty much the same fashion. The first one is called “Chat now.” This service lets people talk online to one of the Christians privately, to discuss worries and troubles which bother them and do not give them peace. It is a service for English-speakers, as all the website in this language. We don’t find information whether through the website you get to talk to a pastor online, but you will find answers you came for.
As their website states, they have Christian volunteers to help you day or night online. Here is what they say about their values: “We aim to provide spiritual hope based on the teachings of the Bible. We are here to help those in need, those with questions, fears, and worries. We are here to assist people who are feeling lost, addicted, sad, confused and in pain – to help them find a new hope and a new purpose. We care and want the best for each person as an individual – we don’t ever want anyone to think they had nobody to talk to, nobody who cared, nobody who would listen, nobody who would help them find hope.”
There is always are a real person on the other side of the computer ready to answer your questions or seek encouragement for you from the Bible. Sometimes you won’t get answers right away because the volunteer is already working with someone online. However, other that they are there any tine of day or night ready to help you out.
This is not a professional Christian counseling. These people strive to help the best they can, but they do not have professionals on their team. They know the Bible, they love Jesus, and they want to help people in need. “We believe that real peace is found in knowing peace with God. Jesus said that He came to bring us life – life to the full. We believe in the importance of church where people can become part of a spiritual family and worship Jesus and learn more about Him.”
You can always search an answer from the articles written and saved on the website if they match what you are looking for. The resource also has a statement of faith for people to see what they believe in. We will n t copy it here for you. All you need to bear in mind is that volunteers and the organization are a part of Evangelical Alliance, so they have their statement in common.
People who visit the website can also join the team and become online counselors if they want to after a serious screening procedure. Since this organization values individuals who contact them when looking for help, the volunteers should be real Christians, who follow Christ on a regular basis, trust the Bible and live according to it. They also encourage people to spread free cards which invite people in trouble to seek help as well as encourage donations if one feels like supporting what they are doing.
All in all, this service is quite a find for those who want to find answers to questions that are bugging them. You won’t necessarily talk to a pastor online using this service. However, you will get to talk to a Christian online for free 24/7.
Talk to a Pastor online
Another service we will introduce you to is called Talk to a Pastor online. The biggest part of the information from this resource is on the blog post of the person running this service. As this person stated, all our problems can be solved with a good meditation.
The man doesn’t aim to counsel you or provide you with real Bible-based answers. All he is doing is pointing you to a “Christian” meditation which is supposed to help you.
In fact, here are a few quotes from the website which will bring you a general taste of the services in question: “Dedicated to helping you make a fresh start. Shed the shackles of the past consisting of hurt feelings, unhappy memories, and negative emotions. Start over again and move forward to a life of joy and purpose. Join Roland for this new inspirational and informative guide to a total spiritual makeover.” I say this knowing that I risk alienating my brothers and sisters who are not of the Christian persuasion. But I am a Christian because I can see for myself what is true.

“It is meditation for Christians and even adherents of Judaism. The benefit for Christians is that this meditation helps you calm down, get out of emotions and the endless loop of worry and doubt. It restores you to the kind of natural awareness you had when you were a little child. This type of recognition permits you to see the truth for yourself. Suddenly when you hear, for example, something from the Bible, you will see it for yourself. Not just because someone else said so, but because you also see that it is true. This intuitive awareness is the prize of proper meditation. It permits your religion to come alive.”
As you see, the aim of this resource is to calm you without giving you any Bible-based answers. Unfortunately, we cannot call this a real conversation with a pastor or a counselor online, as no counseling and help sessions are involved. However, if this something you find interesting, learn more about it online.
Talk to a Pastor
Another service we have found is called “Talk to a Pastor,” and it is aiming to let a person who is seeking guidance in some hard times in life to find what he came for. The website is quite simple with sections for those who seek God, want to find quick answers about Faith and Bible as well as dating, relationships, and sexuality. The home page has an introduction to the service, and a form a person can fill in to get answers to what is bothering him or her.
The “Talk to a Pastor” resource also works for free through a chat 24/7. You will be asked to provide information on the question you want to have answered as well as some contact details including your email, name, age, and sex. Then there will be a box you can write down everything that is bothering you as well as a few more questions people might answer including those about the attitude to church, whether a person considers himself a Christian, and whether he or she would like to become one.
The owners of the website ask people to be very honest and answer whether they are of the age of 12 and more years. If they are younger, they will be asked to provide parental agreement and contacts before they start counseling and praying for him.
And here is what they say to encourage people to share what is in their hearts they cannot make peace with: “We understand that many people have questions, problems, and struggles and need someone else to help them sort them out. We routinely get questions about life, sexuality, suicide, faith, relationships death and just about anything else you can think of. You question, or problem is not unique. Please be honest.
Please use this form to ask a question of one of our online pastors or counselors. We will be happy to spend some time trying to answer your questions or help with a problem in your life.”
All in all, if you are in a place in your life where you need assistance of people that are familiar with the Bible answers to life most important issues, and for some reason you don’t have wise people around you to talk to about it, you can use the services mentioned above to help you. People there are striving to make a difference in your life, especially from the first and the last resources we have mentioned. We hope you find this article useful.
