To start with this type of food cannot be considered healthy regardless of how you eat it: raw or cooked. It is high in refined oil, which is bad for your health and cholesterol levels. It contains starch (which can come from genetically altered plants) and other “great” ingredients. So, first consider the use of eating it in any way or form. Next, you better cook it before you consume it, because the manufacturers give such directions and they know better. Of course, you can chew on it raw, but your stomach may have even more trouble processing it then when you consume it cooked.

Its not unhealthy to eat raw noodles. MIMEE noodles has snack noodles that you can chew without boiling and the taste is out of this world

Am recommending Mimee noodles and Mimee snack noodles for lovers of noodles

You can't beat it

I wonder what this one is doing on the homepage while Blogging topics or Tech related topics are off the home page. Keep wondering what impacts, topics of this nature are having on an average Nigerian. I bet this is the reason why Nairaland is going down on Alexa,  Seun, you got to do something about this. What do you expect first time visitors to this site say when they see topics of this nature on the homepage?

Instant noodles are dried or precooked noodles fused with oil, and often sold with a packet of flavoring.

Dried noodles are usually eaten after being cooked or soaked in boiling water for 2 to 5 minutes, while precooked noodles can be reheated, or eaten straight from the packet.

If you like it raw, nothing do you.

Enough! You'll just keep getting different rubbish opinion and not what it is. Go and ask one of the distributors of indomie.

When I was a kid, me and my siblings did that. But, we didn't eat the whole pack raw. I hated indomie, but I joined 'em in eating it raw - no doubt, it tastes really good. We only did that when we were really hungry - we'd start eating some of it raw as they were boiling the water, and doing all that stuff - can't remember how Indomie is made. We never got sick, so I doubt eating it raw is harmful.

There is nothing wrong with eating indomine straight from the pack.

It is nothing but a processed and pre-cooked food. There is nothing in the manufacturing process it that will suggest it is bad if eaten uncooked. If memory serves me right, there used to be a print on the pack, that suggest it can be eaten as "snack".

On the other hand, because most of us eat it cooked and what not, it may take a while for the body to get used to it if eaten uncooked hence why some may have a bit of tummy rumbling and what not.

According to the nutritional information posted on wiki

I am not a nutritionist, but I am sure the bulk of the stuff used in the ingredient are eatable as raw anyway. But then, that is my opinion.

You spend 2-3 hours in traffic and u no tire that time, na to spend 2 minutes to cook indomie na im u come tire,

ur case is similar to a boy that his father asked to go and be an apprentice to a Carpenter for 3 years and the boy replied that 3 years was too long,so he refused to learn the carpentry.

He then committed an offence and was sentenced to 10 yrs imprisonment and guess what he said, ''i will soon be back from jail"'
