Division of cells is the process that makes cells split and multiply. They just copy themselves and reproduce their own clones. No gene change is attained during this process. Old cells die and new ones regenerate the organ’s tissues and restore them back to normal. On the other hand, differentiation of cells is a more complex process. It involves gene work and alters the general type of a cell to a new one. Cells get a narrower specialization and become altered. That is the difference between the two. And, of course, cell division is needed for cell differentiation, cells device and get a different purpose in the body.
