Hormones and gut bacteria have a much greater effect on our health than many people think. In fact, these two factors can destroy health even if everything (diet, supplements, etc.) is optimized. Conversely, hormones and gut bacteria can significantly improve health, even if all other factors are optimal. The real power of hormones in the body is colossal. They affect everything from mood, weight, intestinal health, etc. If you refer to a pregnant woman and 13-year-old girl, carefully, if they have similar symptoms, such as fatigue, skin problems, weight gain, problems sleeping, — it all points out on hormonal imbalance!

What are hormones?

Hormones are biologically active substances that are produced in the body by certain cells or organs of internal secretion and have a purposeful impact on the activities of other organs and tissues.

Hormones are your body's chemical messengers. They travel through the blood to all tissues and organs. They work slowly, over time, and affect many different processes, including growth and development of the body, metabolism, -  how your body gets energy from the foods you eat and how you consume, - sexual function, mood.

Hormones, the synthesis of which is occupied by the endocrine system, ensure our physical, sexual and mental development. What is more, if you have problems with getting pregnant, try to find it in the balance of your hormones; most likely, that the main reason is there.

The endocrine system consists of small in size and different in structure and functions endocrine glands: hypothalamus, hypophysis, epiphysis, thyroid gland, parathyroid glands, thymus (thymus gland), adrenal, pancreas and sex glands.

Hormones are produced by using good fats and cholesterol, so a lack of these important foods in the diet can cause problems with production of hormones, simply because the body does not have the building material for their manufacture.

The endocrine system is a very complex system, we probably never will understand it, but there are some basic things that you need to know to improve the body's ability to create and to maintain the balance of hormones. Also, you will find an answer to your question about long and unsuccessful attempts to get pregnant:

1. Avoid large amounts of оmega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids

Our body needs linoleic and gamma-linolenic acid contained in omega-6 lipids, and also in oils: corn, sunflower or safflower. This acid prevents and treats multiple sclerosis, arthritis, diabetes, skin and other diseases. However, this does not mean that it is necessary to increase the consumption of corn or sunflower oil – we do get enough: you just have to try to use oil of first cold pressure.

If you abuse the fats of omega-6, it is possible to "achieve" high blood pressure and constriction of blood vessels, reduced immunity, the development of inflammatory diseases and even cancer.

The human body consists of about 97% saturated and monounsaturated fat, with only 3% polyunsaturated fats. Half of the three per cent of fat should be omega-3, and this balance needs to be maintained. Vegetable oils contain very high levels of polyunsaturated fats, and these oils have taken an important place in our diet since the 50-ies of the last century.

The body needs fats for cell repair and hormone production; they are used as building blocks, and we consume them in the required quantity. When we give more polyunsaturated fat to our organism than it needs, it has no choice and tries to incorporate these fats into our cells.

The problem is that polyunsaturated fats are highly unstable and oxidize quickly in the body (if they haven't already oxidized during processing or by exposure to light on store shelves). These oxidized fats cause inflammation and mutation in cells.

In arterial cells, these mutations cause inflammation that can clog arteries. When these fats are embedded in skin cells, their mutation causes skin cancer. (That's why people often get the most dangerous form of skin cancer in those places where they have never been exposed to the sun, but that's a topic for another article!)

When these fats are included in the reproductive organs, some evidence suggests that this can spur problems like endometriosis and infertility. In short, the body consists of saturated and monounsaturated fats, and they have to be balanced to maintain optimal health.

Conclusion: do not eat fats such as vegetable oil, peanut oil, rapeseed oil, soybean oil, margarine or other chemically altered fats. Choose fats like coconut oil, real butter, olive oil (do not fry it) and animal fats (lard), and eat the fish, because it contains many omega-3 fats.

2. Limit caffeine

We all love coffee, but the truth is that too much caffeine can cause damage to the endocrine system, especially if there are other hormonal factors, stress, pregnancy, presence of toxins, beneficial fat imbalance.

Reduce coffee consumption, if it is possible, replace it with beneficial herbal teas. If you can't quite give up drinking coffee, just add one tablespoon of coconut oil in each cup and blend it in a blender, make an emulsify. It will be similar to a latte, but you get healthy fats and neutralize the caffeine!

3. Avoid toxins

Toxins are found in pesticides, plastics, household chemicals and even mattresses can contain destructive chemicals, which mimic body hormones and, persisting, prevent the production of the real hormones. Hormonal contraceptives (obviously) have the same effectiveness.

If you have a hormonal imbalance or can't get pregnant, avoid toxins; this is very important! Avoid objects with chemical additives in everyday life. Cook food in glass or ceramic dish and avoid heating or storing food in plastic dishes. Eat organic products and meat whenever possible and don't use personal care products and household cleaners, which contain chemical pesticides or minimize them.

4. Sleep

This is the main factor. If you don't sleep enough, hormonal balance is disturbed. Sleep at least 8-10 hours. Good sleep can improve the hormones and the quality of your life. What is more, the likelihood of disease and even weight-optimized is decreases.

5. Vitamins and useful plants

In a perfect world, we would have to get up and go to bed with the sun, get Vitamin D from the sun and Magnesium from the ocean; the body is getting relaxed while relaxing and exercising. Unfortunately, such situation isn't real for many of us nowadays. Any of us can fill and fix the gaps with supplements currently.  So, what are the main supplements that are beneficial for hormonal balance?

Maca is a plant that grows in the Andes. It has been already known about benefits of Maca. It increases libido, many women use it for fertility and improve the condition of the skin, while men are markedly increasing sperm production, libido, and improved sleep, using this supplement. Maca also has a high content of minerals and essential fatty acids, which make it a great tool to hormones. It is being sold in powder form (cheapest option) or capsules.

Magnesium supports hundreds of reactions in the body and often contributes to better sleep (which is very useful for hormonal balance!). There are several effective forms of Magnesium: In powder, with this product, you can vary your dose and work slowly; the ionic liquid form can be added to food and drinks and dose can work slowly; transdermal form with using Magnesium oil is applied to the skin. This is often the most effective option for those with damaged digestive tract or severe deficiency.

Vitamin D supports hormonal function. It is better to get it from the sun, if possible, or D3 fermented cod liver. The fermented cod liver is an excellent building material for hormone production including vitamins a, D, K., and excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids and fats.

Gelatin is a great source of calcium, magnesium, and phosphates. It supports the production of hormones in the digestive system and helps to soothe inflammation, especially in joints.

6. Light exercises

If you have a hormone imbalance, intense exercise can actually make the problem worse in the short term. A sleep is much more important at least than the load, so focus on relaxing exercises like walking or swimming and avoid long cardio until you improve hormonal balance.

7. Lift weights

Lift weights: kettlebells, deadlifts, squats, lunges. No matter what, importantly, that there is resistance. At this time, stimulation and hormone production triggers more.

But make sure that you can exercise, get help from a doctor if you haven't done beforeб because without consultation, you can harm the health.

8. Eat coconut oil

Coconut oil is amazingly beneficial for hormonal health. It provides the body with the necessary building blocks for hormone production, can help with weight loss, reduce inflammation, and even has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory action.

If you really need to improve hormonal balance, eat 1/4 cup of coconut oil a day. You can also add it to your morning coffee or tea.

9. Fix your leptin

Leptin is a master hormone, and if it is out of balance, depending on its amount, you get better or lose weight Fixing leptin will also help to boost fertility, make weight loss easier, improve sleep, and reduce inflammation.
