Pay attention to what you eat. Do not eat foods that increase the symptoms. The main irritants are tobacco, caffeine-containing beverages, medicines, fatty foods, spicy foods, concentrated juices, sugar substitutes. IBS and alcohol play a dangerous trick with you. The same do IBS and coffee, especially coffee without caffeine.
Eat foods rich in fiber such as fresh vegetables and fruits, cereals. Add fiber to the diet gradually to avoid problems with flatulence and burping.
Drink plenty of water. It is advised to drink from 8 to 10 glasses a day.
Eat special food supplements to relieve diarrhea and constipation.
Remove the stress with sports activities. Add hobbies that help you to relax.
Take common diarrhea drugs, for example, Imodium.
If home therapy does not help, your doctor may prescribe you a medicine that relieves muscle spasms. If the depression plays a significant role in the development of the disease, first solve that problem.
IBS Symptoms can indicate a more serious illness. Consult your doctor if home remedies do not bring relief within a few weeks.
