Jedijedi is a word Yoruba people use for a certain physical problem. In English it is called local parlance or anal hemorrhoids. This is a pretty sensitive problem, that is probably why people call it with this “funny and cute” name.

You've given the best n exact contribution here.

That's exactly what it is, atleast from experience, mothers come complaining abt the J.J. thing. n after our history taking n examination, we find out that she's referring to either dysentry or diarrhoea.

Certainly a misnomer.

I think jason x is nearest to the defination of what jedijedi is in this child's case. I'd say it's a generic term for several illnesses related to bowel movts-irregular anyway. I'm no doctor and i'm no yoruba scholar either, but the 1st thing that comes to mind is a running stomach or diarrhea. Esp when de lad has a sweet tooth. My mum used to give us Agbo after parties and during christmas.

Okay, lemme awaken an old thread. Jedi jedi is systemic candidiasis. You can google candidiasis/candida symptoms and see the similarities. hmmm, now I realize candida not only prevalent here in the developed countries, but in Africa as well. , just happen to make the connection!

Too much wrong info here.

For the records Pile is a way too serious infection and it's out off the picture.

Your kid simply has Dysentry, not a serious one though as in your child's case (small diarrhea) -  too much running of the bowels, a bacterial infection. In a lame man's phrase, It's "i'v gat running stomach". . .

It is pile.

I really do not know the best advise to give. My worry is that some local concoctions contain camphor which is full of chemicals. This is alien to the baby.

Sorry for friegthening you but just my 2cents

jedi jedi is a misnomer.

to some people, it is PILE otherwise called HAEMORRHOID, to some it is BACKACHE, while to others is IMPOTENCE.

some take BehindBased PRURITUS to be jedijedi while to others it is RECTAL PROLAPSE.

some take it to be BehindBased FISSURE, to some it is BehindBased FISTULA.

So let us know what is wrong with your boy then we will know the english name of your own jedijedi

No its not jaundice I know what jaundice is and it is mostly found in new born babies.

Jedijedi - This is occurs when someone has eaten too much sugary stuff and the bum area becomes itchy and the person farts a lot.
