I don’t know how many of you in the UK read the Daily Mail. I don’t, but my attention was brought to an article on Page 19 of today’s Daily Mail (Sat 8th April, 2006).
The Column “Platell’s People” has an article on Damilola Taylor – “Sorry, Mr Taylor, but Britain’s not THAT bad”.
Anyway, she goes on to say “In Nigeria, wife-beating is legal, child labour widespread, health care nonexistent and the criminal justice system is deeply corrupt”
Is wife-beating legal in Nigeria? If it is not then an apology from Ms Amanda Platell will be in order.
This guy phoned the Hospital asking for an ambulance to come quickly and convey his wife who is in labour to the hospital:
GUY: Is that the attendant? Come quick my wife is about to deliver! She has already broken her tube! Hurry up!
ATTND: Is that her first child?
GUY: NO! you stinking fool! ! I am her Husband!!!
Welcome to Britain, the most accommodating Country in Europe.
It is the second home of Africans( most especially Nigerians).
It could be recalled that the influx of immigrants was further encouraged by the Labour government headed by Mr Tony Blair since 1997, who believes the foreigners contribute a very significant GDP to UK economy.
Now, the Labour government are fast losing popularity among the populace. Imagine them losing 250 seats in the last local election.
The accusing finger is pointed at lapses of the government on "immigration" among other things, in fact head has rolled in Home Office.
Many people says the labour government are "soft" on immigration and that every tom, privates and harry now enter, live and work in Uk.
The latest report is on five Nigerian illegal immigrants who were caught at Home office(Immigration Department).

Is this the pointer to what will happen when ID card is finally introduced in UK?
Will you be there?
When your wife is going through the pains of labour to deliver your baby, will you be in the labour room holding her hand? Or you can’t bear to see her in pains? Well, as a doctor I should be there but I can’t bear to see someone I love so much going through such pains, so I’ll go and stay in a place where I can’t even hear her shouting. The young women here can also contribute by saying if they will like their husbands to be there or not and if we have people who are married here(I doubt it), you can share your experiences too, whether you were there or not or whether he was there for you or not. Thank you.
