i know this is an old thread but what a heck.

Saddest day of my life when my dad died. Never knew i could, cry that hard. Didn't really hit me until about a week later while i was working (graveyard) myself and i all of a sudden started crying. Thank God i was by myself. I cried my eyes out.

Moved to the US back in '92 cos i wasn't getting along wt him. Basically he was trying to keep me in line and im glad he did. The older i get the smarter he became.

Anyway, moving back here, i always call him on the phone and we became good friends and i wish i could have more of that. I was fortunate to see him in person in Summer 2002 (greencard palava) and he passed 6 months later.

My mom is still around and i try my best, i sometimes wish i could just up and leave and go stay wt her but you know,

My Dad/Mon were together for about 47years and looooovvvvveee them very much.

Other saddest day is the day that my girl and i decided that the relationship will be ended.Sometimes its better to be honest to yourself and face reality, its more painful hanging on than just calling it quit.

Happiest day, i hope its still ahead of me.

I feel you, and I feel for all those who died on that plane. I feel for their relations, and friends. Some families will never get over it. Honestly. May their souls rest in Perfect Peace.

Twas an eye opener for me, I realized how short life was and a responsibility that I should love all those I can love while this life lasts. I was supposed to be on that flight too for an official duty. Whatever it was that delayed me throughout that week, I thank God for it. I finally booked it for Sunday, a day after, when they told me all Saturday flights were fully booked.

Lo and behold, I got to the airport, twas in disarray, as the ordeal dawned on me, a Sosoliso staff(who just reported for duty) fainted right beside me when she heard her best friend and colleague was on the flight. Another one was just rolling all over the floor in shock and tears. Too many stories, no need to elaborate. Though none of my own relatives were on the flight, I didnt know when the tears started dropping as I heard wails from right and left. The look of sadness, dejection, and despair on the faces of some women(mothers of some of those kids) was scary. I mean the thought alone was scary: "I should have been dead too". Honestly it was sad.

one of the saddest days in my life is the day i found about the sosoliso plane crash, i basically ran mad, because you see those were my juniors on that plane, ppl i lived with for years and years and promised to return for their graduation. everyday after that has lost a certain spark. so rest in peace my darlings. till we meet again

happiest: it will fo sho be day i realise that i have found someone who loves me enuff to want to be with me forever

My saddest moments occurs whenever I go back to Nigeria. There are so many things I would like to do with my parents, from simple things such as going to a good restaurant with them to pleasant things such as giving them a surprise birthday anniversary just to see that fantastic smile and hugs that only MOM/DAD could give, but they died very early,so they couldn't see that their son that they laboured so hard to educate become a responble man they had always dreamed of. WHAT A CRUEL LIFE!! Wherever you are I LOVE YOU, A LOT. to those of you who has still got your moms and dads, enjoy every second with them while there still time.

I'm a guy and have never been pregnant(like i was expecting it) but i have third hand experience because i'm a medical student (almost a doctor) and have witnessed chilbirths.

True it'll be painful but doesnt have to be like hell.

U can prepare urself for chilbirth by toning your reproductive muscles(womb, diaphragm womanliness) and the cartilages (like d cervix). Note i said tone not work-out (otherwise u could loose the foetus). This way, they'll readly help in ooozin out the baby @ labor. The most important is the fear of it beign painful. If u r scred it will be painful because u can actually initiate pain psychologically.

Keep a positive mindset. Wish all female Nairaland users safe delivery..(when its time)with less pain .

saddest moment - have one of you guys ever lost a close friend in a plane crash ? I did !

happiest moment - when my son was born almost 9 years ago

Saddest moments was when i had to drop out of medical school as a result of a silly decision i made then. But i'm back anyway.

Also when my dream girl rejected my "toastings". This was 7 years ago (still toastin her though) but we r still best of friends today. She prefers me to her boyfriend anyway (i can tell). Reason why i said in 1 of my post; "Theres a friends that sticks closer than a lover..oops i mean brother".

Happiest ke? I no go use my mouth block happiness. I'm yet to have the happiest but so far it's when i got healed of scurvy at a crusade(Total Experience), when i became born-again and when i made my first Nmillion(few months ago).

L.O.L I understand what you mean. Most bf's u have at age 12-13 are kinda like play bf's anyways.

And as for being smart, i must say the guys i moved arround were hot-smart asses. They are competitive guys and my sister (she is my cousin....i basically grew up with them) told me never to move with dumb guys cos they'll make me dumb. Infact i didn't even move with dumb girls (Saying dumb in this sense isn't my way of saying i was smart, i was just an average student tryna improve...and i knew moving with average kids like me ain't gon help me).

I did/knew all this stuffs and i am proud to say i am now smart. I picked on people and all that stuffs.

i don't mean when you're 14 and up i was talking about being 12 and 13. not that i was scared of boys or anything. trust me i hung out around most of them but not liek the boyfriend /girlfriend stuff.... (well i kind of had a boyfriend when i was 7 and 8 but it wasn't serious..he was italian. duh!!). just simple kid's play gossiping, getting in trouble (because i remember this one time i found a love note some girl wrote to a guy and told my bff (that's what we do) and we basically humiliated her just for the fun of it. not that i'll do that kind of stuff now. we told everyone our mouths could get to) and we go in trouble for it too because the girl+ her friends got mad at us. the guy didn't because he was my friend. .............now i'm not making any sense.

okay point is....i personally didn't want to try stuff liek that + i was thinking if you did that at that age you won't be smart and i really wanted to be smart.

But u knew about guys right? You just didn't have one. That is not un-cool. it's cool. Having a boyfriend at age 13 isn't what makes you cool. It's just the age at which your hormones run like crazy and makes you wanna try new stuffs.

This isn't about killing person. The world is changing. Your season is not the same as our season.

It's gonna be rare before you see a 12/13 year old girl doesn't know about all these things.
