Women, What Is Your Priority? University Degrees Or Ur Dignity As A Woman

Many times, I crack my skull as to the genesis of the points most of our so called aristos (undergraduate prostitutes) make when they are caught in the act, some claim to go into prostitution to enable them secure their university degree, the question that bother ones mind is, 'what happen after the degree has been secured?' in due honesty, should a woman damn her dignity for the academic degrees? what about the future consequences, does Our country University degrees worth 'do or die'? what would you do as a woman if you find yourself in a financial instability in pursuance of your academic degrees? how would you advise the younger ones? should they let go their dignities for University degrees or the degrees for woman dignity.

women in the house, your response would be appreciated!

I'll take my dignity anyday. My university degree won't stand before God for me, but with my dignity I can.

Also I can marry a man with a univeristy degree.

People will always find excuses for what they are doing. What is good and what is bad never changes.

I knew someone would come back with that one.

Yes there's dignity in labour; however, the set  of rules(whether internalized or imposed) and established avenues through which an individuals' labour input can be used to acquire stuff determines if the work is dignified or not.

Example: Prostitution is also labour but just because it is labour does not mean that it's dignified.

Example: If someone cannot own their labour by having the power to determine(with full discretion) where, when and how much energy to expend  and  also be the sole beneficiary of the rewards from energy input, then that labour is not dignified since the worker lacks autonomy. Any form of labour that is done under externally imposed set of rules and proceedures that determines, among things, when your labour is needed, how it must applied and how much it's worth, is not dignified. Ever wonder why christ, buddah, krishna and other moral authorities did not have bosses?

So There is an intervening variable between labour and dignity.

Don't just focus on the action of labour on its own; consider also the underlying social structure in which it is embedded.

It is a pity we have found our self this mess today But what really causes this was the over-emphasis on the Certificate rather than Merit today the Government that causes this are by the side watching the wall are crumbling with poor and greedy undergraduates, On the GOOD GIRL'S DON'T MAKE IT, BAD GIRL'S DO AND THEY USUALLY END UP WITH THE BEST, ! it not true because (Azzzanniyatuu-waw-zanni Lay yankibuu Illa-zanniyatann auumushiiri-kattan) they are not getting the best they are getting was is the same with them, as often they end-up been mistresses to either their boss or co-workers, As many can really show up to defend their certificate at work so they have to keep bribing in way they knew best in other to be carried along or to maintain position or posting that they are worthy of at the who looses is the job that would suffer,

To avoid misoverstandings that stem from semantics when we speak in a false tongue(english), it is important to frame a question as clearly as possible.

Dignity has a political and ethical dimension. The former deals with the human rights of underdogs and therefore sees dignity as determined by societal norms while the latter deals with virtues(self-respect, autonomy, self-esteem etc) which are an attribbute of the individual.

From an ethical dimension, dignity is independent of the level of formal education attained. In fact, it's undignified 4 an afurakan to take pride in attending these eurocentric schools that turn-out grads who are conformists and slavishly cooperative with western agenda. Where are the intellectual revolutionaries? Besides, we had a concept of dignity in pre-modern times.

As for self-hating chicken heads who put a price on the temple of God(their body), what I will say for now is that the means justifies the means. Note also that prostitution comes in other forms like working for crumbs or having a boss. A slave, whether well paid or underpaid, is still a slave and one is a slave if one lacks autonomy.

I rather be a lion in the jungle than a dog in the city!

A LovePeddler is a LovePeddler and it takes the grace of God for one to change.

The risk factor to marry such a lady is high,so it is wise not to get married to a LovePeddler.Be it a graduate ,dropout or an illterate.Because when things get rough they will go back to the fastest means of survival they know.(HUMAN SURVIVAL INSTINCTS)

But like we all know ,love is the strongest emotion and it conquers all.

There used to be a time when this was a non-issue.

I don't believe there is anything like - you don't have a choice. You always have a choice and you will get whatever you set your heart out to achieve even if it takes a longer time. Tha'ts the way the universe operates.

Its a two way thing, one can earn herself a niche with out acquiring a university degree & at thesame time Nigerian ladies with university degree are highly respected in our society. so family & societal values goes a long way at determing how a lady can preserved herself under dis tempting grounds.

which one will u prefer dropout(lady) or prostitute to marry.

In many cases, you can't have "dignity" without an academic degree, so it's not a matter of choosing. If you drop out of university for moral reasons, it's still not dignified. You're still a dropout!

talk is cheap. . . .

The easiest thing is to point fingers.

We all do things we don't necessarily agree with. The only ones i would blame are those from well to do homes indulging in this. . .

Just my two cents
