Is The Lost Symbol Worth It's Price?

i was genuinely shocked when someone posted that Dan Brown's THE LOST SYMBOL sells for about N 7,000. now, is that book worth the price or is the price just because it is Dan Brown's latest offering? i don't really like it when books get too costly ( although E.C Osondu said, and i second, that a good book is priceless). is THE LOST SYMBOL's price okay?

I was the one that grumbled about the price in Nigeria. Yes, it a hardback! Yes, Dan Brown is a gifed writer but coughing out N7500 for a book is really chilly to me! I insist is is highly over priced. I will wait for the paperback!

It is expensive to most people but the value is what one is buying. We are all saying the same thing. If we writers are complaining then what do you want others to do?

I have read it. I bought it for about £12 odd, at Waterstones bookshop somewhere in the Midlands. I must confess that it's the only Dan Brown book which i have read and yes, i did find it quite interesting. You probably will want to finish the book when you buy it but i doubt you'll be left with 'ooh' and 'aah' moments. Of course there's a lot of 'enlightenment' about Masonic symbols and about Washington (the man and the city) but is it worth the price? I am not quite sure.

Good question.

Saw the book at the mall yesterday and I went, ''for real??''

Anywayz, it's Dan Brown. And the book's quite bulky. Will chill for some reviews before I go spend my money on it.

I think it might be the hard cover edition, that's why it's that expensive. I'm pretty sure the paperback edition won't cost that much.

That does not take away the fact Dan Brown is a fantastic writer and his books might sell at a premium relative to other writers in his genre.
