Are Black Women Setting Their Standards Too High?

OK, if a black woman wants a black man with a job, is she setting her standards too high? What if she wants a black man who

respects women? Is that standard too high? What are your opinions?

I saw your useless IBO head waiting at the door like a jobless wanderer looking for the person to beg for his next lunch.

You know you where there; if you deny it i will go to the shop and ask them for a CCTV footage to disgrace you on NL. you better say the truth now or you will forever face a befitting disgace o.

^^^ my dear loki boy didnt know your life was soo boring that all you needed was updates on nairaland like someone is is long awaiting the next episode of a soap opera.

Anyway to satisfy your curiosity hence you dont go mad here is what happened.

As I was approaching the station I saw this black guy lurking around the shop and looking at the displays in the window, he went into the shop and eventually came out as he realised i was never going to walk up to him and say anything.

Didnt see the point dont like his views anyway so why give him the chance to say more rubbish. I was never going to meet up with him dont like is views and am happily married thank you. I think he saw he go into the station and maybe not.

He was wearing a black jacket with a blue scarf and a white t-shirt.

As tempting as your offer sounds am not keen to meet you. If you really want to see me I go home via Cannon street station  and can spare 2 minute of my percious time to re-work your miserable mind about women at 5:15pm by the Hawes and Curtis shop on the right.

I am a married woman and really dont have your time.

I dont know which area you you came from but i am certainly not for wherever you were or are right now.

I am not looking for a man to validate me actually I do well by myself. Tell me Mr Corke do you have a job? And what do you do humour us?

0

Mr Corke I bet you are one of those stereotypical nigerians who dont have a job; oh o I am too big to have a job and do runs instead and never  bring money home.

Cos you dont have anything in life fulfilling you; you are looking for a woman to validate your masculinity to make you feel better from your rotten soul. Women dont find anything attractive you cos you are such a bore. Now you think women are your problem.

If you are a man and comfortable within yourself women will respect you. If you are looking for a woman that will worship you and you will be the center of her world you must be able to cater for her every need hence the unnatural facination.

Or she must be an oyinbo that you will lie to that you are a prince in your village.

Otherwise shut up and settle for a equal partnership with a woman who will equally bear her part in the running and expense of the house.

Why is it a womans job to cook where you not eating before you married her why is it a womans job to clean did you not clean before you married her why is it her job to wash your cloths? She might do it out of love but it shouldnt be enforced on her

Why not just get a house maid

Thank u Ann, I agree with you on all count and I rest my case. Every body has standard, black or white, Man or woman, I for one do not see anything wrong with that, If a black woman do not set her standard high, you lot would pass judgment on her that black women goes cheap, highest bidder etc & do not have standard or class, she goes for anyone. Please Ladies and Gentle men let close this chapter more power to all black sisters out there LOVE Ya All

Are Black Women Setting Their Standards Too High?  Not @ all the equation is simple she does not want a man sitting on his backside day in day out, Just as men don't. I for one do not want my woman sitting on her backside day in day out niggling. Life is give and take, relationship will be enjoyable if  both of you put in effort.

@ Cork:

I like your thread - you are good all of a sudden, what happened? I am very impressed with you.

OK - just today, my man and I were talking and - I have alot of emotional baggage from previous relationship(s) - I will be the very first person to admit this, I have been through some past BS with a previous mate and it has affected me.

My man knows this, we are talking about it OPENLY and I know for A FACT that I have more emotional baggage than he does. SO this does bother me and I am actively working through this so that when we marry at the beginning of the New Year it won't be too harsh on our relationship.

On his end - he is extremely controlling - As a couple we will have these two areas to work on, I just wanted to contribute to your thread as I found it very, coincidental that you would post this the very day that he and I had deep conversation regarding "emotional baggage."

Cork - thank you for demonstrating your maturity that I somehow never saw in you before - it is very refreshing and pleasant.
