Are Women Hypocrites?

The rate at which cheating is defined these days makes me ponder whether the usual 1:8(women:men) ratio for cheating is accurate. Men take part in both physical and mental cheating but if wives/GF's or husbands/Boyfriends must take action based on mental cheating, who will be spared? Are women not becoming hypocrites gradually for blasting men on their wayward ways when we cheat on the same men mentally?

Will you consider and treat mental cheating the same way you'll do to physical cheating if you catch your partner doing it? What about hiding some information from your spouse, will it also constitute to cheating?

@Topic Welldone, as the topic imply Are women Hypocrites? Yes & we don't need a prophet to tell us that

the word "Hypocrities" simply means

"A person who pretends to be good, pious or sympathetic without really being so" e.g Women.

I rest my case.

wat exactly will be d problem dat d woman had to punish d man dat way, some women can be heartless dat is one thing im sure off

im not sure if he cheated on her,but wen she was telling how d husband told her to forgive him if he has offended her in any way,i almost cried for d guy,and d foolish girl was busy laffing wen she was telling all dis, infact she was describing d way d man was begging her for sex,and i was pissed,it was wen i told her,if ur husband goes outside then its ur fault,na dat one calm d babe down small

even if he did not ask her wat d problem is,for 2 and d half month,d woman ought to talk to him about him judging from d fact dat they have kids and dat kinda thing shouldnt be done before d children, who she told me d eldest was begining to suspect sthg

I don't agree with her method but the man ought to find out the real problem not run off to another woman.

Could she be unhappy?

Is he selfish?

does he make fun of her sexually?

There's absolutely no reason to go outside,he ought to get to the root of the matter

Of course women do have fault sometimes, we tend to push our man over the edge.

Nope the way I was brought up, it advisable never to invite a third party into your matrimonial problem.

If i want to pray, i will do that in my bedroom, am sure God will listen and hear my cry.

I know marriage = Patience, but when the time comes I will know how to handle it, right now am just taking it step by step

LOL maybe i was bullshiting myself when i said something about walking away"it easy said than done" i know that.

But the truth is am not bothered about that, I don't/never doubted him, nor he hasn't given me any reason to, have never at any point of time had a thought like his he thinking about some other woman, or sleeping around, lol i have too many issues/things of my own to take care of.

My sister I no agree with this one o

It's like saying women who are hit, they pushed the man to it.

A man cheats because of lack of self control it has absolutely nothing to do with the woman.

have u ever tot of d probability dat maybe u aint doing something right dats y he brought a woman into ur matrimonial bed(God forbid its not ur portion ,im only giving examples)

Abeg lets be truthful to ourselves,d fact dat most men cheat doesnt make them a womanizer, some of them dat cheat ,its d woman dat pushes them to do it,and wenever they taste d forbidden fruit,na so we women go dey shout ,dey cry,dey curse d man, mean while na our fault, abeg forget all dis matter jare

trooe i hope say u no be d type wey go dey go cry to pastor to pray make God restore ur marriage, all of una wey dey make mouth so

The ones that'll say,if na me I no go gree are the ones that'll go driving around town in search of him and crawling back on bended knees begging him to come back home.

There was a thread earlier Last year) on reading each others email, every unmarried person gave this long sermon of how couples should be one and share everything in common including email, blah blah

I just laughed and made my simple comment.

Some people want to die premature deaths.

Why should I concern myself that much about another adult's activities.

I don't have that much time to be a private investigator for my own husband.

checking odometers, cell phone and calculating his mileage.

It's amazing what women put themselves through

my point exactly

any way trooe is not married yet,so she wouldnt know what its all about, but one thing ive learnt is that, marriage goes wt a long dress called patience

a woman has to endure some certain things

and im not saying d men should go out and start messing about,u people should not get me wrong

so because my husband thinks of another woman ,i should run away from d marriage like a coward abi,God forbid, before he thinks about some woman ,maybe,i repeat maybe there is something im not doing right, that is what i must think about before making some certain decisions

all im saying is that by d time u bother yourself wt what goes through d mans mind,if he'S seeing some other girl or if he's sleeping wt some other girl, then you're going to die before time

I beg to differ.

There's a world of difference between the two.

One is obviously more "invasive" than the other.

I would treat them very differently.

I could forgive a mental cheater based on the circumstances but if a man lays with another woman, he does not deserve me because he's about to murder me with his pe.nis

cheating is cheating

both the physical and metal are considered cheating, and yes I will treat both the same.

Am not in the position to answer that question since am not in the situation yet or experienced it

It depends on what kind of info am hiding before it considered cheating.

a minimum level of hypocricy is required to survive in this world " i should say"

if women are hypocrites tis because society feels they aought to behave in a certain way and if they dont ,

@yebariba: The word "men" will definitely come up before the word "women"

i dont know what to say. but i think i should say one thing, yes women are hypocrites. thank you. its about time they owned up and start doing things right. the way women behave makes y0u want to hate them and punish them for their sins for the rest of their lives. women can be really horrible. if you doubt me ask Adam how we all got to live in this war ridden and poverty stricken world and i am sure the word women will come up before he is done. God help us men.

You don't understand what i'm saying.

Being with someone physically is different to thinking about someone, longing for someone (when you're with someone else). Sharing your innermost thoughts, and effectively being with someone else emotionally when you're physically with someone else.

Many more men than women can have just the physical release of being physical and that is where it ends. Not saying the physical is not as bad but when your mind is elsewhere, even though you have not crossed the line in giving your body. This is worse in my opinion. It's like you're sleeping with a robot.

If you've been there you'll know what i'm talking about.

Are you saying thinking about cheating is the same thing as actually cheating? Really?

Okay, in that token, let’s start arresting people who think about stealing, let’s round up all the mental liars, mental murderers and throw them in the gallows. In short everyone who has ever thought of doing something wrong. . .off with their heads, I say! Yeah.

@Stillwater, it's more than thinking about what is in another man's underpants. If that were your only thoughts when you are cheating, i will be happy.

I think I understand where the poster is coming from. Yes people are hypocrites, because we are people.

What I believe she is trying to point out that, women are quick to label "all men" dogs (or how ever you choose to address them) because it's easy for them to do. You guys are more vocal like that. But turn it around and it's "well I'm not like that", "next time choose your partners wisely", "open your eyes wide" Yes you have to open your eyes when you are choosing.

Not saying all women do this but wherever you go, 3rd world, developing or western world, it's the same and they have good reason too. A lot of men cheat and think it's OK but a lot more women are cheating too, but because they have a higher price to pay if they are caught out (especially in places like Nigeria) they have more to lose. (double standard, I agree). What she is trying to say call a spade a spade. Both genders should be held accountable for their transgressions (cheating) equally. But this is never going to happen though. So we will just agree to disagree.

Emotional cheating is worse in my opinion. She's only with you physically but her mind and heart are somewhere else. You might as well just let her go because you have nothing.

If you cheat mentally, doesn't mean everyone does the same. There are better things for me to think about than what is in a man's pants!!!!!!!!!!

Some people seem not to understand the meaning of the word 'ignore', they continue to be assertive even when their assertion is continually ignored. Is it a question of being belligerent or just plain silly?

If we buy this premise, that means that it's cold and inhuman for women to beat men down and complain all the time for their cheating since we are equally guilty of the same sin?  Should men demand an apology from us for making them look bad all along, there shouldnt be any reason to deny them the fun, abi?

i think you need to specify kind of women.

However my nigerian ladies to the best of my knowledge are nott hypocrites. they are as real as they come but within and on the physical aspect.

It's kind of hard for people to see what I represent. I'm detrabalized, multicultural and will always  stand up for injustice irrespective of who is hurt. Some folks here will rather douse the truth because it'll hurt their gender or tribe or religious affiliation. I believe that you can never forge ahead if you keep lying to yourself and from the responses so far, it seems the feminine gender is working too hard to hold the facade they have on men.  It's not an issue of gender attack but whether it's the truth that most women actually cheat on their partners(including me) mentally but will turn around to axe men for physically visiting another honey pot. The bible says, 'For you shall know the truth and only the truth shall set you free'.

There may be more to them than the eye. Nigerian women are no different from the western women these days especially since they started getting their foothold on the national economy.
