Can Love, The Irrational And Thoughts, The Rational Co-exist?

Help me with this dilemma.

How often should I give in to my sensitivity without damaging my sensibility?

Can i be sensible and be able to love to the fullest at the same time?

Does being too rational kill romance?

Nice point there davidylan,

I'm learnt that when u fall in love do so with your eyes wide open. Love is not really what we all claimed it to. I see Love as a decision, a choice you make. Looking at it from this angle, then romance is secondary.

Stillwater too has a point. In as much as we need to be rational, we should always remember that everyone wants to be loved and cared for. We can always work to achieve a balance.

But then when I do act as you have just stated, the other might start to feel I have been too this and wasn't that enough. How do I possibly make him see my reasons?

By the way, should one prevail on the other? As I think of my better half should I still maintain my right to preserve myself?

Yes it does. As much as we have to analyse situations in order not to fall into some kind of mishap, there's always a tendency in distrusting the other. A relationship without trust can't work. Moderation is the key, a little use of the head and a little giving of the heart is more like it.
