Do You Believe In Karma?

I am bound to think a lot of people will answer yes to this topic without a fundamental reason. You should never automatically assume that anyone who does something bad to you will be automatically jilted - as if it's a law set in stone from the medieval ages. I have my reasons for believing in karma. I didn't believe payback is a bitch until a recent string of events sent me into a wall of troubles and occasional depression. And no, it's not because I got a girl pregnant in primary 6 and forced her to abort the child.

I'm just starting this thread for the heck of it. Do you believe in karma? If you answer yes or no, explain why.

why come up with different explanations to support or refute what

we all know exist?

karma, could be called blowback

law of redestributive justice

even the bible talk am, what you sow you shall reap, there is a time to sow and a time for harvest,

sins of the father can be visited on generations afterwards

the fact that you feel, you feel abacha , had an easy death(debatable) doesnt mean

his sons would enjoy the fullness of life,

life is a Dam yeah, the innocents get bleeped , but believe me the guilty wont go without punishment

blood dey cry ooo

Over fifty thousand people die of cardiac arrest , only one of them was a mass murderer

WATCHU ON??

He was buried the same way they'll have buried their king, rolled in a mat and thrown in a deep hole

OBJ still has his Ota Farms, he's making money, Idi Amin died like a normal man

If OBJ dies today, he'll be given a state burial

KARMA's not doing it's job innit?

HITLER died a hero's death, he killed himself, he wasn't even captured

William Tyndale was burnt on a stick, he gave us our modern bible

Deja vu is farce!!!

What u call Deja Vu is caused by the mis-timing of neuronal firing.

This timing error was thought to lead the brain to believe that it was encountering a stimulus for the second time, when in fact, it was simply re-experiencing the same event from a slightly delayed source.

We were cursed by God so thats why we are reaping what we didn't sow??

Whats the point of doing GOOD then since no matter what we do, God's curse shall prevail!!!

Someone's a bit confused.

There's no law of Karma. . . . .  .

People do evil all their life and die peacefully.

Some people have never touched anything EVIL and they died a violent death.

@ SLY,

Karma ma bloody foot!!!

A serial Molester(Iorworth Hoare) won 7 million pounds after Molesting more than 15 women in his teen!!

Uncle Karma must be sleeping to have allowed this to happen.

His victims are begging him to let em have some of the money now. . . . .They are living poor, Mr Molester will die RICH!!!

Obj is hounded left right and center,do u think he is enjoying?

does it not occur to u he must be stratergising and checkmating for the rest of his miserable life and in the end people will spit on his grave

Abacha was enjoying

he was sick before he died on top of that poisioned,

u need to see how they buried him

and after that El Mustafa who was riding high went to prisona nd lost abt everything

what have u to say for that?

coincidence

science doent explain everything

Hilter died like a dog

sucide because everyone had turned against him

The lie is that people dont want to bear any consequence for their actions.law of nature and law of the land u only reap what u sow

Touche. . . .

There's nuthing like Karma. . . . . . . . .

Good things befall bad people. . . . Bad things befall good people.

What did Madeline McCann do?? She's been kidnapped/killed now and no one knows the whereabouts. . . She is only 3 years of age.

According to pro-karma group. . .Baby Madeline musta taken more bosom-milk than usual to have deserved cold-blood murder.

Some have argued it is not about WHAT she has done but what OTHERS have done??

Why should i be punished for what someone else did??

Karma should be about:You REAP WHAT You SOW not You REAP WHAT OTHERS SOW.

Abacha was having fun till he died, his only punishment is death and maybe hell (I'm not the one to judge)

The same hell that someone that stole fifty naira will go to, remember that Abacha had assests worth more than any of the Brit top 10

Don't use KARMA to explain God's ways

He does what he wants and no one questions him

The Isrealites killed thousands of people on the way to Canaan and nothing happened to them

Hitler wrote his testament, went to sit down on his armchiar and shot himself  . . . c'mon, that's a hero's death

William Tyndale would have paid to die with a gun

All the people that jumped from 9/11 would pay for that kind of death

KARMA is just a fake attempt at explaining why bad things happen

And about Africa and Egypt

Have you gone to modern day Egypt before?

Have you seen how beautiful North Africa is?

Believe me if you've seen it, you won't be saying what u're saying

we shud not always expect to recieve in exact what we gave out,

but yes karma does exist.

it will always pay back even though with a diff situation or event.

At first I dont believe in karma but I have this diary where I will write it every single day about anything and everything. From my life to other peoples life and anything which I could think of daily. Then after a year, I would read back the whole thing and thats when I realize that there is such thing as karma. Would like to further explain but the story is too long.

But to answer your question, yes, I believe in karma after what I saw in my diary.

@Eldee,

Believe me its not.

I'm experiencing what our past leaders sowed in this country

My internet connection is crappy.

What im currently listening to is the Sound of Gensic

We humans have sown evil in time past and it will definitely fall on us.

There are too many innocents to mention that have been caught up in this web

it still dosnt mean does directly involved in this wont get theirs.

Abacha did not die a natural death, natural death can only occur after 70.

I believe in what you sow, you'll reap. It doesn't necessarily have to be in this lifetime, though.

can't say about Hitler, but atleast Abacha is dead, thats a much deserved payback don't you think.

Karma is real and karma does not always come back to you in the same form that you sent it out. Karma has a way of bleeping with you or your children or someone close to you.

I have done my share of dirt and Karma has paid me back but there is no way for me to know if karma is done with me or if there are other sins i must pay for.

It is not that those people that died are paying for someone elses karma or maybe they are if someone close to them did some real dirt they could be or it could simply be that it was their time to go and this was the way God choose for them to go. Perhaps there is a leason from their death that is meant to be found/learned and that is why they died the way they did.

Karma always finds you, in this life or the next. Now that is a different topic if you believe in reincarnation then you know that karma can always catch up to you.

Hitler killed Jews, but Rhys Jones is being punished?

Meaning I might get punished for Thaksin's human right abuse?

Or maybe I'll get shot because Abacha killed Many people and went on to die a natural death.

Believe me that argument is flawed

Yes i believe in karma. shoot every time some one does something over the top wrong to me i use those famous lines from the Color Purple, "Until you do right by me, everything you think about is going to crumble." classic.

And why Abacha died such an easy death too

And if Mr Karma could help me explain what the Damilola Taylors and Rhys Jones' did to get killed like animals, I'll be really grateful

I think in one way or the other you reap what you sow. might take years but the past always comes back to haunt you.

0

I agree with you. There is no law to back up Karma, philosophical ideologies are superstitions anyway. However, I believe very strongly in the whole "do unto others. . . ." school of thought.

0

Lol.

Which strong point.

Since i dont know what Karma is right now.

i will suspend my comments.

But i do know that Hitler, his generations and Germany are reaping what they sowed.

I really do not believe in Karma because if Karma were to really be in existence, then people that do evil would def. reap evil. Take for example, all these murderers being arrested in UK,if a murderer ever get caught,he's just going to get a jail sentence and might even be released in few yrs.

Another example is all the money-squandering politicians we have in Nigeria,do they ever encounter all the bad things they do to the masses?

Though, some people havent been quite lucky with getting away wiv their evil deeds tho. Like they say Payback is a Dam.

Lets look at another example, What about partners that cheat in a r/ship. Some do get away wiv it while some dont.

Another example is a situation whereby you help someone out of a situation or sumfin out of ur own free good will ,but that person turns around and stabs u.

KARMA is man's way of consoling himself for ill-luck and poor planning

Hitler killed how many millions of people, when Mr KARMA wanted to get him, what happened?

He died . . . the same way the six year old girl that was walking on the street when a gas leak exploded

The same way people in the Twin Towers died on 9/11

KARMA is just a big farce

The proofs of the law of Give and Take are too many.

I'm not a big believer in popular religions and its teachings but I do believe that Good begets Good and Evil begets Evil. What goes around, as I have found from experience, usually comes back around. Thats just the way life works.

Why do you believe that you will reap what you sow?  The people considered statutory rapists do not get to reap what they sowed do they?  How do you explain statutory rapists becoming registered sex-offenders while cold-blooded murderers who get released on bail get to live invisibly and without hassle as your next-door neighbors.
