Is There A Man Shortage?

Let's face it here you either find a man who is already married, has a girlfriend, gay or is a natural born player.  Therefore you either have to share with whose there or you fight to keep one if you had one.

Is there a man shortage? Just asking

How are we imply or saying that here in this thread?

Maybe that first sentence should have been towards the bottom.  But yes a woman has to have a healthly sense of self-esteem and a positive view about her body.

**Scribbling it down to ask Madam later tonight whether her instincts are weak or strong**

What in the world would make a woman be too desperate or weak? Is that not a conscious awareness to the fact that there are shortage of good men out there?

No need for a pole.

poo i have used a mop handle as a pole. A cane as an accessory. A chair as a prop.

Put on some heels or Bleep me boots and let the rest come naturally or unnaturally if you had to take a class.

waterver90, have you considered setting up a counselling class for some of the women here? They can learn one or two things from you.

Brilliant post. . . . . . . .

Matter of fact, i think u should write a step by step manual on how to keep your man in marriage so these ignorant women can learn.

Of course, if the home is conducive enough a man will not stray!!!

There are still a number of men who still for quit a long time don't have any woman and are waiting to be tapped just like young women are. This ratio is just significantly low.

Are you saying only the woman works hard to sustain the marriage. . .  while the husband relaxes doing nothing?

Ok it's certain I'm joining a convent.

Demographically, there are always more women than men from the post-teen period. If you don't like it, move to China where the one-child policy has led to the greater abortion of females.

It would be more appropriate to say the majority of women dont know what they want.

They want a baby at 17, a bad boy at 19, a player at 23 and a good man at 30 . . . by which time its too late.

Maybe  shortage of good men by some women who some times put  men on a higher standard.

I went to a concert where some big artistes performed  and at the end of  the show  a lot of female fans besieged traveling RVs/rooms of these male artistes for a back stage close up and probably more. From my observation, about 80% of all the female fans would go in to have a special session with these male artistes if given the opportunity. Then I came to the conclusion that all these women were thinking was that I have got what it takes to be with AKON or Chris Brown and when I enquired about female artistes, men were not all over the place cos  most men believe that likes of Rihana or Michele Williams WILL NOT invite you into their rooms/RVs to have a special session.

@sauron. Ahh! I now get your definitation of a man. A man must be academically, financially, economically, socially, and sexually responsible. Now I agree with you, I think they are scarce.

nobody is asking anybody to pretend sista,u just have to adjust to every situation u find yourself in,we all try to learn everyday,u have to,even if u need to go for councelling and other stuffs then go

there is a patient of mine who's more like d log of wood type, her man craved for an interesting wife in that area,he was even ready to teach her,but she just did not want to learn, until her hubby started cheating on her, immediately she caught wind of d affair, she almost ran mad and was now willing to learn,it took months to get her hubby off d other woman(that is if he has stopped seeing her)

u don't have to pretend, just try to learn, pretence will surely fade away, but if a hubby wants a wife whos good in d kitchen or in d bed,she just has to learn

Naija census is dodgy especially in the North.

Muslim women in the North don't come out to be counted as it is a taboo for anutha man to see them and reh reh reh.

U cannot use Naija stat at all. . . . . .

Shortage of good men or shortage of men in general?

It depends anyway.

The 2006 census clearly told us that the number of men in Nigeria is 1.9 million greater than that of the women. So I don't think there is a shortage.

Are u sure about this. How many dating sites have u joined this year alone??

U have to appreciate there's a stiff competition out there.

It's so weird that what u desire in a man is desired by 1000 other women so picking one can sometimes be a HUGE task.

There is a shortage of good men(like me) out there.

I'm not searching, so I don't know.

Not a good reason.

I can't fight to keep someone that's not my husband. He as an adult ought to know better.

There is a good man shortage.  But if a woman is worth her weight in gold the men will be fighting each other to keep you and therefore no fighting necessary for the woman.

Have you read Sista Solljah's book "No Disrespect"  Very very very good book, it addresses this issue.

I think there is.

The ratio is like 5:1 in favour of men, so I think.

@sauron. Whether the women in the north were counted or not, I still believe there isn't scarcity of men in Nigeria. A girl would find a partner if she's decent. The problem with girls these days is that they love ghosts relationships. Relationships they know would lead to nowhere.

I get what you saying whatever but really if that is not who you are then the pretences will fall and you will start to be who you really are. And then where will that get you?

I really think that if a woman is worth her weight in gold then then there is no need to fight for him at all. He will see that value that is her and will hold on tight for dear life.
