Promiscuity: Are Nigerian Women As Promiscuous As Their Men?

I came across the above when I was researching on leisure/holiday destinations in Africa some time ago.  One of the sites described Nigerian men as very promiscuous and that our women are equally as promiscuous as our men in terms of having/engaging with different sexual partners at the same time as their principle LOVER.  To be honest, it did baffle me but in this day in age, how sure are you about your own woman/man?

For those who do not understand what a forum is about, and felt it is a market place where they can abuse the 'Dead and the living', very sorry indeed! Therefore, would like to remind such people once more, that a forum is a medium for exchange of views - where people can air their opinions, views, perspective on topics of interests.

It is so sad that some lack intelligence and hence understanding but when some are born without intelligence and common sense, what can anyone do about that?  There's no point in fighting with 'GHETTO STREET KIDS' on here.

A real and respectable gentleman would not go down this lane, pity!  And, real men do not bi*ch but since bi*ching is a woman thing, this makes one query if there's a 'Gender issue' that needs addressing about this human being.

The topic in question is an 'OPINION' and nothing but someone's opinion.  There's is nothing wrong in one expressing their opinion hence in a Democracy you have the freedom to say what you like though, it may suck! But, hey, that's the nature of democracy and my democratic right to exercise that freedom.

You see, it does not take a degree to understand that the topic invites Nairalanders to air their views about this 'Not so talk about behaviour' that exists among Nigerian women as commonly our men have always taken the 'FLACK' for promiscuity. This fellow should have avoided the topic and moved on instead of digressing which he did probably, because he has nothing worthy to contribute.

Additionally, the topic does not warrant that gutter level of response and there's no need to involve people's families.  Naturally, this opens the door for your mother, sisters and all the women in your life to be equally degraded.  Let's go there if that's what you want!

If she was harsh enough to stereotype Nigerian women are whores, she deserves anything she can get and I don't see how I was harsh because I just reiterated her allegation. If her mother and siblings are Nigerians, why separate them from her promiscuity allegation?

Alloy Emeka,

I was almost seeing sense in what you were saying but messed up with the way you ended it. Why mention her mother or siblings. That was harsh. Too much for a lady.
