If my husband did that heads go roll. Why in the hell would someone do that without their spouse knowing. Is she planning on divorcing him or something? So many questions. How did she get the loan without his signature. Could it be that she bought the house on her own before they got married and now things are not going o well and she is making sure that she gets as much from their current home before she might lose it? Hmm.

if only the husband's name is on the house deed then how could she take a loan on it? (unless she forged her husband signature)

either way, if she default on the loan, they cant take this man's house!

You and u alone paid for the house

Her kobo is not there

The house belong to the husband.

- if the house is mine, it would be impossible for her to take a loan and putting MY assets as collateral, EVEN IF WE WERE MARRIED!

Yeah am trying to find out how they meat, though the people in question have divorce,

@poster

it all depends on WHO PAID FOR THE HOUSE?!

- if she paid for it fully then she has all the rights to do whatever she wants with it even if we live together there. although, the fact that she doesnt tell you that she is doing it would say a lot about the kind of relationship you guys are having.

- if the house belongs to the both of us (we paid the mortgage equally) then she has an obligation to let you know, unless she was planning something fishy on you! there too, it would say a lot about the kind of relationship you guys have.

- if the house is mine, it would be impossible for her to take a loan and putting MY assets as collateral, EVEN IF WE WERE MARRIED!

if people cant be straight to each other in marriage then they have no business being married at the first place.

I wouldn't divorce my wife over a material asset, no. Money isn't my god.

As for if she killed me, that'll be her waterloo. She'd pay for her sins in the afterlife.

Well, I don't think any spouse should purchase property or investment without the other spouse knowledge because if something was to happen and the spouse does not pay, the court can come after the other spouse.  Marriage is a partnership and BOTH PARTIES SHOULD BE THE DECIDER and the DISCUSSER.  It affects the both of you.  I wouldn't divorce my fiance, but I will make him pay in another way, WHAT YOU THINK THAT IS?  WINKS!

It's this sort of woman that poisons her husbands' morning coffee. Send the biatch on her way with immediate effect, that's what I'd do.

Good question, Ayetty. Even if her name's on the deed, alongside her husband's, they'd both have to sign for a loan secured on the property.

Jenny is right. Unless the man is an abuser.

If not. It's disrespectful and inconsiderate.

Ok it depends, if the husband in question is an abuser and a low life, then i dont blame her, she might be trying to build a home for herself or leave him before the guy finally kills her,but if shes got a good man as a partner then shes stupi.d

what am trying to say is this, you are married and your wife took  bank loan and secured a property without your knowledge,

U are in the same house with your wife but you don't know that your wife

is building a house.

I wouldn't be pleased! A house is the largest single investment / purchase you'll ever make. If my wife could actually get a loan secured on the home we both live in, and purchase another property in a different country without my knowledge, I'd question how well I actually know her.

Obviously, not as well as I thought!
