Would You Allow Your Daughter Become Second Wife?

In Islam, polygamy is considered an injunction from the Almighty. It is believed that Allah approves it. Christians think otherwise saying, if God wanted it. He could have created more women for Adam to marry in the beginning. Even Christians practise polygamy. Would you give your daughter to a married man?

Whats your opinion?

Personnally, as a christian I do not like it and will not consider it and therefore can never allow my daughter (God forbid) marry a married man.

HELL NO!!!

It's better for her to become A Reverend Sister instead of being a second Wife .

Am not gonna control my daughter life, she do what she wants am only gonna advice her (and on issues like this I will definitely opposed it)

But it is entirely her decision to make. If she wants she can even married a man with eight wives.

Nah!

No one should settle for 2nd position.

If he cannot have You as First and only, show him the door.

i've seen situations where a woman has got no choice but become a second wife. when she's getting too old and it becomes an embarassment to her parents. such cases, her parents are only happy to give her away as a second wife.

The question is why question the teachings of another man's God ? you should live your life the best way you can and it really isn't your choice in giving your daughter as you said because your kid is not property

@pro01 why the vexation now? Aven't seen an hypocritic poster already on the topic.

Nonsense. People often bark "never", but when the price is right, they find silly rationalizations to do the most disgraceful things. I'm sure you would die rather than allow your beloved daughter marry a certain gaunt looking Mr. Saka Monsuru - whether as 1st or 2nd wife. But if she comes home one day with the news that Otunba Dr. Mike Adenuga Jnr (CON) wants her as a 4th wife you'd roll the drums in thanksgiving. . . Life.

Is it me that will determine who my daughter should marry? I can only advice her and can't force her. If she think she can cope? so be it
