Would You Support A New Legislation Against Infidelity Among Nigerian Men?

Just like we have in United states,United kingdom and the Western world, would You support a new legislation in Nigerian constitution that will forbid married men from having extra marital affairs or risk half of their possessions upon the dissolution of the marriage to the wife.I think it won't be out of place since we have been copying even bad vices from the western world before now.

If the law could be implemented, then yes, I would support it.

Tell me the law in the particular western world that forbids married men from having extramarital affairs, or risk forfeiting one half of their possessions when they involve in extramarital affairs. Don't say what you don't know. What if the it is the wife who perpetrates this infidelity? Would this legislation also apply to wives?

infedelity is a ground 4 divorce, it certainly isnt a law, n it applies to both parties in the west

as far as naija is concerned i fear bth the men n the women equally

Nigeria is not the west.

Nothing will happen even if such a law were passed.

well nigh impossible anyway.

What about the women? The naija women don't cheat mostly because they have everything to lose by cheating. When a married woman cheats in naija, its over for her. She can't remarry or be with her children(unlike oyibo women) She'll end up being miserable her entire life. So they cheat when they're single. Most single ladies have at least 2 boyfriends. One to provide the dough for upkeep & then the other guy provides love/romance.

NB

before you crucify me, i would like you to know that i do not support any form of cheating.(relationship or marriage)

Some minutes ago England captain John Terry was striped of the national team captain band based on the allegation of Infidelity.I wish we can take a cue of the level of responsibity and discipline required of a married man from the whites. If you cant be responsible and discipline dont marry.

Hmm,well said so it may even bring out the hidden Infidelity in Nigerian women since they can just file a divorce, collect some money and get hook to another guy.Nigeria will just turn to a lady's world.

Roman Abramovich was married for a total of 16 years and had 5 five kids with his ex wife. Still his wife got only £200m of his total £7b fortune.

Against infidelity among naija women, yes.

tired of reading about men fathering babies that aren't theirs.

those kids would probably grow up to be fukk ups too.

I don't think there's a law here forbidding men from cheating on their wife. You can get a divorce but there's no punishment for cheating. If there was women should be subject to the same law not just men.

Then some women wil marry 1 million husbands in their lifetime.

all to make money.

@ujujoan,the law does exists and is about to be applied to the case of Tiger woods and John Terry(as soon as the wife file a divorce). This particular law has ruin the finances of so many successful businessmen in the Western world a good example is that of Roman Abramovich & his former wife.
