Will love to know your Nigerian best rap song for the last ten years
Jesse Jagz... God on the mic
It is logical to say Jesse Abaga is in a class of his own that we are all either afraid to touch, judge or predict. We could picture him as residing in the first floor above the ground floor where the Nigerian music industry is happening. He is in the game, redefining Nigerian Hip-Hop. He's got dat "international flow"
He is the greatest. This is based on his superior...
Really hard to choose one outta these lot: 1. Africa - Modenine feat Tuface 2. Spazmodic - Modenine & Terry D Rapman 3. Somebody wants to die - MI 4. Big Bros - Ruggedman 5. Too much - DJ Jimmy Jatt 6. Street Hop - Thoroghbreds 7. Nine - Modenine 8. Crowd Mentality - MI 9. Hiphop - Modenine 10. Ghetto Dreams - DaGrin
I have listened to a lot of classics in the last decade and I think almost all Nigerian Rappers has at least one track to remember them for: Last Man Standing, Make Dem Talk, Peace or War, Hip Hop, Don't Hate, Blaze, etc but, I have to applaud the lyricsm, delivery and the hook of a monster joint released in 2008 by one and only Modenine - NINE. Each time I listen to this track, something keep urging to put it on a replay. The Game by Overdose would have taken this spot if Modenine never released that track.
@semid4life, I think I have to listen to spazmodic though I've got the CD but, I got it late (2009)
@pappilo, I hink Pentium IX was re-printed last year, you can still get it (and original one) for Alaba. I got mine in Lagos Suburbs where you least expect to find CD like that.
men i'll go back in time. Omode meta; ruff, rugged and raw murdered that track. Africa, mode9 ft. 2face. To me, its mode's dopest track. Waka wiki mcs', eedris, streethop, thoroughbreds, simply a classic. Spazmodic, mode and terry, only heard it once but i know its drugs. No be God?Gino, Elbow room, mode9, ruggedy baba, what if, peace and war; rugged man. Round here, sauce kid. Igbe mi, d prince. These are my best in no spelt out order!
Hard core is the intention, essence of what rap stands for and it is alive both in feeling nd mood.nd truncate ur psychological fantasy cos it releases viberation that is well received. Rap is different from hip-hop.this guy has done something for rap nd needs to b appreciated; Alabai with d sung "dear god".mode9 is. so also naija lyrical genius, my boy; da grin, too lyrical nd funky.
