One of his friends proposed him to work together on several compositions. In 1996, they released Yinka’a debut album called Bitter Experience. It has brought him much fame. He has recorded 19 albums by now. The latest was in 2015.
During his career, he has received plenty of awards. Besides, he has become a member of Order of the Niger and got Ekiti cultural ambassador award.
