According to my own presumption it might be very difficult o produce a female leader for this country, The men are already far in the forefront of the political tussles and struggles for the ladies to catch up with, But as we rightly put it take a woman with GRITS AND GUMPTION to assume leadership

But our culture has eaten deep into the burrows of our reasoning for us to allow such drastic change

'OUR POLITICIANS HAVE NOT CAUGHT UP YET ;THEY ARE STILL IN THE SLOW LANE OF THE SUPER HIGHWAY'

@Topic: why not?

I personally prefer a president that has an Hausa father and a Yoruba mother. This individual could be a man or a lady, it doesn't matter.

This was about Marriage. God did not say Women should be less than men in any other situation.

Well, one thing we can be sure of is they can't do worse than the men.

So yeah, I say let 'em have a go at it.

A woman who is ready to go extra miles can definitely rule any communities/societies/town/cities/states/nations no matter how complicated they might appear to be. The culture of such group of people also play important roles in selection/electing leaders.

Nigeria's culture, as well as cultures of many Nations of the world, favour MEN for the leadership roles. That is why I believe that it always take more than normal effort for women to rule/lead any community. If Nigerian Women are ready to take up the challenges, it's very possible to have a female president . . . . . . . . .

ephesians 5:22-24

"wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. 23for the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the savior. 24now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

a woman to rule nigeria?

nigeria is a nation of patriarchy.

much of patriarchy also has its roots in christianity.

religions which believe the bible or other religious text often follow it faithfully by its every word which puts the men in charge.

the bible which most christians live by states boldly that women should be submissive to men.

with that in mind and those beliefs instilled in cultures, women don't stand a chance at gaining strength in their gender and its potential in our world.

Forget that thing. We are not even close to having a woman president cos all our politics is based on thuggery. The Northern Kingmakers no even want make woman comot for house - you think say dem go allow woman become President? The day I see a woman President is the day I know we have made a change for the better.
