My girlfriend just started schoolin in London a month ago. She needs a job to get extra cash. I would be glad to get advice on known locations where she could get oppurtunities. Especially businesses run by fellow Nigerians, so that she can make ends meet. Every bit of advice will go a long way. Thank you.

A British friend of mine has over the years temporarily housed European students coming to London to look for work on suggestion of Gumtree and I can tell you that many have returned home quite frustrated. A few of them I suspect eventually took up prostitution.

If she's got working permit then i wouldn't advice her to work for a Nigerian business, in most cases, the working conditions are always poor, many pay below minimum  wage, she'll better off working for the likes of McDonald KCF, burger King etc where she'll be treated with respect.

all sort of jobs for students

mcdees

burger king

supermarket

royal mail

telesales

tell her to check londonjobs.co.uk for part-time work

If she has a student visa without restrictions on working, then she is allowed to work up to 20hrs during term time and 40hrs off-term times

Fast food restuarants would easily give immigrants jobs without the need for experience however she may be lucky with one of the high street retailers!

Goodluck to her

working for nigerian owned businesses in uk is modern day slavery so tell your gf to try tescos, sainsburys and the likes, they r recruiting temporary xmas staffs all over now so it should be fairly easy to get a temp job pending the time she ll get a more permanent jb

If she has got a student visa or permit to work, then there is loads of fast food restaurants she can work in.

I will not advise her to work for a fellow nigerian.

Tundysho I sent the daughter of my land-lord's uncle's third wife's driver, who just arrived in London via Spain and the Sahara Desert, to follow the directions for a menial job in London that you have been kind enough to post, but on getting near the swampy area, she was alarmed to note that the dread-locked Baba Aladuras were openly bathing several Unclad women in the rancid swamp water, under the pretext of cleansing them in preparation for employment.

Can you please confirm whether that ritual bathing and anointing is in fact a legitimate pre-requisite for employment in London, or will this young woman just wind up getting her bosoms and Bottom fondled by a group of ugly-Bottom Rastafarian's who in reality have no jobs on offer ?

Are you too blind to read?

The guy made it clear that she went there primarily to study and is asking for tips on how to get a part time job which every student is expected to have.

Is enrolling into ESUT or OOU what you mean by decent life in naija?

When you get to London last bus stop, take okada going to Abule Oja,after Pako bus stop, drop from the bike and you ll see a small walk way close to a swampy area where you will see some dreadlocked baba aladuras.Just take the small pathway straightdown, your first turning to the left, then look forward, you ll see a cafeteria where they sell amala, ask for iya Taju, tell her i sent you to her that she should give you a job

Or better still come back to Nija and live a decent life.

Na by force person de go London
