Revolution! Is It Too Much To Ask For?

For a 49 year old man still learning to crawl i believe a drastic action is needed. Revolution i seek but WHAT TYPE AND HOW? This is our country, this is our ship. ALL HANDS MUST BE ON DECK BEFORE IT SINKS! Alliances need to be forged lets leave aside our differences for the love of our dear country and get involved in serious discourses for our future & our childrens. MAY IT NOT BE A WASTED GENERATION. Brothers and sisters your comments, suggestions pls, :sogbajimi@yahoo.com

We are ready to rise ,i'm young and capable of mobilizing foot soldiers.

But only if Yorubas will Lead the Revolution.

we are 100% prepared, waiting for a credible Yoruba Leader.

Fellow NLs lets not make it all talk and no action cos i'll soon propose a way forward/solution. Alliances will need to be forged cos its will be a disaster for generations to come if we decide to stand by and do nothing while politicians and d elite declares war on our dear country just to further their greed. ARISE O COMPATRIOTS!

It doesn't mean they're not mindful of what is happening back home. Do you think There's any body who loves to play second fiddle in another man's land ? Mohandas Ghandi experienced discrimination in SA AND THAT served as a mind sharpener to the man he would eventually become. For all the shops at peckham, 5th avenue and else where i assure There's none of them that wouldn't give that up to come back home and live life how it is meant to be.

what role, you kidding me. the day ken saro wiwa was killed by that yeye abacha , a day i thought was one of the saddest day for Nigeria. i was so sad that day and went round to gauge my fellow Nigerian feeling .almost all the shops in peckham, in the sth. east of London were opened and it was buss. as usual in other shops else where. so tell me if we cant show common support at the time of need, revolution is a mirage. tell you something else, same was the situation when mko died.

Hard as it is to believe, the diaspora in the form of the exiled usually have a prominent role to play in such revolutions.

The revolution can only start when the poor poor people of the north east, north west and to an extent, middle belt open their eyes.

I used to think there was hope but i have just seen statistics proving Nigeria has been and is still on the downward spiral.

WE NEED A VIOLENT REVOLUTION THAT WILL TURN THE RIVERS OF BENUE AND NIGER RED WITH THE BLOOD OF NOT ONLY OUR OPPRESSORS BUT THOSE WHO HELP THEM UNDERMINE US AS A PEOPLE. IF THE MONSTER IS NOT BEHEADED IT WILL CONTINUE TO RISE AND FIGHT OUR COLLECTIVE DESTINIES.

THE KIND OF BLOOD LETTING I TALK OF IS NOT THAT OF A FEW THOUSANDS, I MEAN A MASSACRE THAT WILL REMAIN IN THE VERY MINDS OF THE GENERATIONS TO COME ON WHY YOU SHOULD NEVER HOLD ANOTHER MAN DOWN. M. E. N. D. IS ALREADY IGNITING THE FIRE, I HOPE THE SPARK LASTS LONG ENOUGH TO SPREAD TO ALL REGIONS

Unless we're ready for this we're just wasting our time.

If we consider the enormity of our problems in this country, we will advocate a complete annihilation of the political class for they've not only failed us woefully, they've betrayed a sacred trust.

But, we have to be practical; if we kill all of them, who will lead?

What we should do is to call a massive civil disobedience, everybody will sit on the street, blocking the roads leading to the state government houses for as long as it takes to get the government to accede to our demands. You will be surprised that all it takes is for a few people to start it and others will join for Nigerians are tired of this whole mess called Nigeria.

I see a situation people will contribute food items, pure water and other light sustenances to keep demonstrators' spirit up.

In the absence of any killing, this is the ONLY way to chase these demagogues, rogues, serpents and vultures out of government. They won't go otherwise.

Their mind is that Nigerians won't do anything. A massive wave of anger will tell the thieves otherwise

WE HAVE TO HAVE A PEOPLE POWER REVOLUTION NOW!!!!!!

AN ART OF WAR! That is what ethnicity has become in nigeria though i believe yorubas are too refined to start a war. However i suspect our igbo brothers will want arthur nzeribe to handle supplies of arms/ammunitions abi?

After all the civil war set backs, Igbos have paid their own dues for the experiment called Nigeria.

In all Yorubaland only Five people are Trustworthy, (Soyinka one of the Five)

That's why i recommend Yoruba Lead it. Nigerians are hoping on them.

Revolution, how many round table can we use, what of national constitution conference, what of oputa panel, where all the ethnic nationalities came and siad what they want from Nigeria, is this first time round table is been orgainzed? after nothing, i said nothing comes out from it, brothers and sisters, only the millitary that can do it, eg. please go read how buhari/idagbon, during then there was sanity, there was respect for each other whether in the market, in the offices, on the road, even where you are eating, all the corrupt men were subjected and kept to prison yard, if you have many cars you will be asked to account how you bought them, if you throw away anything on the road, it is an offence and you be taken to court immediately, the international communities respect our country so dearlly, i could remeber very well, that government said if NEPA takes light without imforming you that you should take them to court immediately, are they not the military men? so forget let the military come to our aid,.

Politicians and elites used ethnicity as a divide and rule tactics to control d countrys resources. And we d younger generation failed to see beyond our noses in order 2move d country forward but rather prefers to live in d past. The failure of Nzeogu revolution shouldnt be a reason for yorubas to lead another war

The problem with nigeria is INDOLENCE! Citizens are not willing to chart d course of their destinies, they expect other people to do it for them. It is hightime we realise dat every great nation fought for its freedon be economic or political for it to command a presence in d commity of nations. It is a necessity dat a CONSTITUTIONAL REVIEW AND FEDERALISM IS URGENTLY NEEDED SO AS TO CHECKMATE POLITICAL PROSTITUTES &JOBBERS IN CORRIDORS OF POWER before they push the country 2d brink of extinction. Our collective will for a better nation is d key

I am of the opinion that the only Revolution we can have is to have a round table talk, sideline the cader of fools who are hell-bent to mute us the bone marrow, called a stakeholder forums, looking for the new folks who are ready to see for the betterment of the country, i am not talking of people like "Dimeji" who has no conscience, but rather mount the mantleship of ladder to pay his own mouth.

No body is inviting the military. Think of what will happen if 2million Nigerians stay in front of ASO ROCK gate for just 5 days until our leaders show sign of seriousness. NO GUN. NO ARROW JUST DETERMINATION FOR CHANGE.We can do it if only we 4get about our Religion and Ethnic inclination for one day.Nigerian youth wake up we cant afford to fail the coming generations

Gentlemen of nairaland, when we are talking of Revolution, we are indirectly speaking to the millitary men to come and do some cleansing in the country as what happened in Ghana some years past, that is it and that is the only way pdp election riging machinaries can be stopped, all these corrupt ascribed politicians to give way from heating the political system of the country and punish them for their deed also make them to account for any kobo they stole, only the millitary that do it if not we will continue crying and complaining, once and for all, our country is under seige by some group of cults, so let us be faithful to GOD Almighty.

I thought we are in revelation! A NATION DIVIDED AGAINST ITSELF CAN NEVER STAND! I am not proposing gun totting revolution but one based on good discourses, visionary ideals, change of psyche and can do attitudes. Most of us didnt create the present mess and the past civil war dat traumatised d igbos but its not too much to save a nation slipping towards anarchy cos there are signs everywhere dat something need 2b done fast.
