Where Does Nduka Get His Financing From?

George Bush was paid about $500K to attend ThisDay's award. Condoleeza and co were also paid accordingly. Who gives Nduka Obaigbena this money he is splasing everywhere?. Do you know that he is affiliated to the Nigerian govt?. Could this be our money he is spending?

Many Nigerians are Freemasons but their membership in that society did not guarantee them free access to millions of dollars.

I have said it before and i say it again, Nigeria's biggest problem is not corruption.

Corruption is just a symptom of the real problem.

There is corruption everywhere. It is in America, just like it is in Equitorial Guinea. The reason why it seems worst in Nigeria and the rest of Africa is a lack of systems to ensure that our political class is not comprised entirely of crooks, inept and clueless shady characters and also a lack of institutional systems to ensure an enthronement of the rule of law, accountability and order.

Bush et al will do worse in the Nigerian landscape.

As long as we have a system that throws up these sort of leaders in entirety and the lack a system that ensures a strict application of laws and order and lack a way of making our leaders truly accountable, corruption will continue to thrive exceedingly.

A million Ribadus will not stop it and even a revolution will only breed a new set of Iboris and Odilis after a short while.

I go with this line of argument.

Dele is a lesser crook than Nduka.

The Duke is a boss in this game.

Why reduce this to who can see the white house and who cannot see Aso Rock etc etc.?

They must have some sort of security reasons for not making the place a public building where all can tour and admire, like the white house.

Again, I think you should be more concerned by the POLICY issues of these governments as opposed to superficialities.

George Bush is not smarter than Yar'Adua.

http://www.lifeisajoke.com/politics22_html.htm

I never said IBB was ''born into wealth''.

Is ''wealth'' everything to you?

If I was a christian I would say you need Jesus.

Do not project your racial insecurities on to me.

I am a human being, and a beloved soul of God. None is superior or inferior to me. All are born equal. Material wealth is only transient, just as the material world is transient. We leave this world with nothing but our memories, experiences, and integrity.

Did OBJ tell you this? I thought we were talking about Yar'adua?

I think you need spirituality which does not necessarily come in the form of religion.

Bialegend, rest assured we are on the same side in this. I was only referring to the Arab-related events on account of their immediacy in time. I'm fully conversant with the role the US, Britain and their friends have played in the entire developing world, including Africa.

In fact, a former British colonial officer in Nigeria, Harold Wilson, has gone on record to state that the British govt rigged Nigeria's census, as well as her independence elections, in order to grant false majority status to the north, AND install northern hegemony over the country, a situation from which we're yet to recover.

First I am not a ''Mr know it all''. YOU are a Mr ''know next to nothing''.

Second, I am not the only person here who has this position, as you can see from other responses here.

Then why are Bush and his cohorts not in JAIL for sending thousands of their own people to die in order that they and their companies can make hundreds of billions of dollars in Iraq and other places?

Do you think the real leaders of America are elected officials?

Do you know the US central bank is a privately owned company?

Just because you can see the white house on television does not mean you know what is going on inside it.

You're just a clueless admirer of a nice building.

Yar'adua was a university chemistry lecturer.

Bush is a daddy's boy who somehow passed out of university without being able to pronounce or spell simple words, and who reportedly arrived in Brazil on his first trip there as president and remarked he never knew there were black people in Brazil.

IBB was an army general, not a ''military major''.

Considering you're calling people uneducated, you seem to need a fair bit of education yourself.

If a person's family being ''in the $$$'' is enough to impress you, how come you hate IBB and co? Is it because they are black like you?

You seem to have no problem licking the backside of white mega-thieves who kill millions of innocent people to get their hands on oil money.

Is it their pink skin that makes you impervious to their numerous crimes?

I bet you call yourself a christian.

Example 3: They supported and aided nigeria in the killing of over two million Biafrans so they can have access and control over the oil in present day nigeria. They, especially the british are today helping the northerners of nigeria to keep power and rule nigeria for them (proxy) at all cost. Making sure that all strategic military posts and installations are in the north which they use to intimidate other nigerians. I wonder why this negro or kushi called ROSSIKE is always quick to point out the injustices done against the arabs while refusing the point out the same that was done and still been done against his own people inside nigeria.

@NEX - please get ur facts right, Nigerian Information minister Frank Nweke(former) was the one that actually cancelled the CNN project, he was concerned that Nigeria's plan to lie to the world was not a success

Apparently, CNN began running the adverts but unfortunately for Nigeria, the Niger Delta violence was also boiling at the time, CNN had no choice than to cover the Niger Delta violence as it affected American Companies & thier citizens, Frank Nweke got upset and claimed CNN was fabricating stories and will arrest any journalist found in the Niger Delta, some reporters from Seattle were arrested while filming a documentary in Gbaramatu Kingdom of Bayelsa, Thier arrest created a political tension btwn US and Nigeria, so ofcourse Nigerian govt being the chicken that they were pulled out all CNN adverts, began blaiming CNN

CNN did nothing wrong, basically it was a warning to Nigeria, that the world can see thru all our BS,, CNN aint no NTA

Giving the devil his due, this is the height of misinformation

For anyone to say Dele was once the Nduka of naija blah blah blah,so Nduka took his seat is nothing but pure misinformation arising from ignorance of the cold hard facts

Nduka and Dele ARE NOT in the same league at all,the very first time Dele travelled to the US,it was the Duke that facilitated it.He repeated the favour a few times till Dele approached him for a similar favour and the Duke just told Dele that he couldn't continue holding him by the hand that he has shown him the way that he too should learn to run such things for himself(I'm aware Bob Dee visits nairaland,so I challenge him to deny this fact)

Apart from that,Bob Dee has actually worked for Nduka in the past before this era of just writing a column. That said, the point I'm making is that to use the Nigerian street parlance:Nduka is Dele Momodu's chairman

the poor don't have houseboys or housegirls. Unless you don't know who the poor are.

Did you know about $12 billion which was meant for the Iraqi Central Bank but stolen by the Commanding Officer in Iraq? Please stop trying to Nigerianise corruption because the most corrupt people on this earth are Americans.

Anyway, back to the subject, Nduka is chopping rebranding dollars. If Nigeria can give a contract of $500 million to CNN for the Heart of Africa Project and nobody complained, I see no reason why ThisDay would get a contract of a couple of tens of dollars and suddenly, everybody wants to philosophise on it.

BTW - US leaders dont rob thier citizens like nigerian leaders, known fact, they have a more open and transparent govt than our naija govt

when the average naija citizen has no clue wat ASO ROCK looks like or the health status of thier president then u cant compare, George Bush wasnt a "school teacher" like Yar Adua or a military major like IBB and co, his family was in $$$ and he gat the education and resume to back declaration of his funds,

(If cornering the world's resources on the basis of lies and mass murder is what you term ''intelligence'', heaven help your lost soul)

I had to respond to the bloke who said US leaders do not ''rob their people like Nigerian leaders''.

I had to put him straight. Which I have done - much to your chagrin, Mr ''slaveboy of the wealthy''.

George Bush stole america's money and Democrats/liberal media havent sent him to jail, sorry, america is not nigeria where there is no freedom of speech.

All the points you raised are soooo false, America deals with military intelligence daily and they are willing to protect thier national interests and also protect thier allies in otha parts of the world, America has military bases/stations in almost every country if ur Bottom doesnt know, NIgeria included, go and ask about the US Army office in Jaji, There are american instructors at the naija war school,

NDUKA is a thief, and thats wat this thread was about not ur foolish assumptions of how the BUsh family stole from US treasury, i guess u will say OBAMA stole money in the next 4 yrs, hiss!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This thread is very relevant because I've often asked myself questions about where Thisday was getting money from.

I believe a lot of money is Rebranding cash coming from the government.

I'm really shocked that several Nigerians don't know that Tony Blair and Bill Clinton make millions of dollars every year from making appearances at events and lectures. George Bush is just trying it out so that he can pretend to be earning a living in order to cover up the billions of dollars oil and war money he's stolen. He's even too dull to speak at lectures.

I want to make clear though that this is the same business which CNN is currently engaged in. In fact, the only way AOL Time Warner was able to escape bankruptcy at the beginning of the decade was by supporting the Bush government at the start of the Iraqi war so to an extent, it's not a rare practice.

Thisday is only rebranding indirectly. This is what real propaganda is, not that crap you hear on NTA everyday, because this is the one which is believable.

Do you even ask any questions about these things or is your head like an empty pitcher taking in any manipulated GARBAGE thrown at you by CNN?

Do you know there is wide ranging evidence of top level US COMPLICITY in 9/11?

Do you know that weeks before 9/11, US warships were already heading to Afghanistan?

Have you heard of the Project For the New American Century, a book written a year before 9/11, and published by neo-conservatives like Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz in which they stated clearly that they needed a ''Pearl Harbour type event'' to commence their stated program of global hegemony?

But what I cannot stomach is this NAIVE rubbish of making out that US leaders,  or UK leaders, whose hands are dripping with the blood of innocent millions everywhere, whom they've murdered for their resources, are somehow ''clean and verified'', while the likes of IBB - veritable choir boys and small-timers in comparison - are the epitome of evil.

That's just the height of ignorance, so do wake up.

@Poster, Nduka is a seasoned rogue. Do you know how much his post amnesty concert cost Akwa Ibom government? Over $100M. Thisday is full of opportunist who will use the columns to deceive people into buying their ideas and then gain influencein government.

Oh shut your ignorant trap.

Clinton and Bush are FAR BIGGER THIEVES than IBB or any Nigerian leader.

Their own form of corruption is so HUGE, so HUMUNGOUS, people like you are far too dumb and admiring of ''oyibo'' to even notice.

Example 1: They send thousands of soldiers to DIE, and kill 1.5 million Iraqis through war and sanctions, based on a pack of lies, so they can take over Iraqi oil worth hundreds of billions of dollars. Saddam in power refused to permit any US firm to drill oil in Iraq. Today, 90% of firms drilling oil there are US firms.

They concocted a fake story about him having WMDs, USED their media and Powell and Rumsfeld etc to deceive morons like you and most other Americans etc, who GLADLY sent their sons to DIE in Iraq in their thousands (and now Afghanistan), as firms ''close to'' Bush, Blair, Rumsfeld, Clinton et al, MILKED IN MORE MONEY IN A DAY than IBB, Abacha, and OBJ managed to steal combined in their entire tenures.

Example 2: They DELIBERATELY created a ''recession'' by relaxing regulatory measures for banks to a ludicrous level, KNOWING FULL WELL that many people would default on the easy loans. When all the banks, owned by their cronies got in trouble, they then RAIDED THE TREASURY, to ''bail out'' the banks to the tune of TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS.

Ask anybody where this money went. Nobody can give an answer. You still visit a bank in the US and try to borrow money as a member of the public, and they say NO! Jobs are as scarce as ever. Where did the TRILLION DOLLARS GO?

No one is asking, and no one is answering. Their media are all in on the deal. In fact their media outlets are OWNED directly or vicariously  by the very same bankers, in cahoots with the govt, and are little more than mouthpieces of the elite.

So do get real and stop being so damn gullible and naive.

It goes to prove what Doyin motors said few years ago that "Nigeria is yet to produce a dollar billionaire who made his money from pure business". We only have political billionaires and that's why they make so much without paying taxes and become confused on what to do with it, like Theophilus Danjuma.

the north is scare of thier future, as minority, while the yorubas feel cheated.

. I would run for the office of President to bring peace to nigeria. if the issue is not resolve. The issue is we have to remove the Yorubas, edo, delta and bayelsa from Nigeria to give the north majority to have peace and avoid a Darfur. If this is not done. I intend to run for the office of President. And I know how northern leaders think. And by the time I show the northern emir the satellite pictures, and what my plan is. I would win the north and become president. I would resign from the office of president when my mission is finished. And hand over to the vice president. The lifes of 15,000,000 people depend on it. we can not afford to be the next Darfur

You see leadership is about what is best for the people and not about what is best for a person. Nigeria needs this change now to have peace. And if govt is not ready to make the change. I am ready to work with the north to achieve this change to bring peace and avoid a civil war. I intend to run for the office of President, if the Yorubas, edo, delta and bayelsa is not remove to make the north majority.

Nduka spin for the nigeria govt.

Bill Clinton and George Bush charge money for invitation. Look if you want to see them in your village. if you have the money, you contact thier office and they would come. This is what the two of them do for a living now. So dont see their present as the USA govt point of view. It is not , Bill Clinton and George Bush do this for a living. It is like bringing Carter to Nigeria. It does not mean the USA endose any one. USA ex president get paid to give paper.

You said 500,000 is nothing. Look at it this way, 200 half a million is 100 milion.  Bill Clinton and George Bush made more than 10 million doing this each years. This is how USA president make money after govt, not by robbing thier people. Obasanjo, IBB etc should be charging money and going to wedding party, and other programs.etc.

There is nothing wrong of them coming to nigeria. the timing was plan, to discourage  military boys from overthrowing the govt during the change of yar adua to jonathan acting president. You would notice the present of a USA war ship, and the USA ambassador in Nigeria going to IBB, it was just to checkmate any move to terminate democracy in Nigeria by the military. It was carefully plan.

It should not be seen as USA endorsement of anyone. Bill Clinton and George Bush get paid given speech. Do you want them to come to your house, you have $500,000. Leave your email.  This is how USA president make money after govt, not by robbing thier people.

Bill Clinton made millions from foreign sources

updated 3:38 p.m. ET Jan. 27, 2009

WASHINGTON - Former President Bill Clinton earned nearly $6 million in speaking fees last year, almost all of it from foreign companies, according to financial documents filed by his wife, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.

source: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28878460

$250,000 from the Mexican branch of the Friends of ZAKA. ZAKA is an Israeli-based relief agency that operates around the world, delivering humanitarian assistance to the victims of terrorism and natural disasters.
