Who Lost The Civil War, Biafra Or Southern Nigeria?

Having followed, with utmost amazement, the unfolding movie in our beloved country, I've started to feel that, in reality, it wasn't just Biafra that lost the civil war but the whole of Southern Nigeria. The level of entitlement felt by the North is shocking to say the least. It's not that they are visionary enough to move the country forward but have become a real drag to the more progresive southerners. I thing it was time for the south to sing with one voice, "to thy tent oh Israel!"

OUR LEADERS because majority of people up in the north donot know their right that is why nigeria is backward. A day the northern an average northerners know / expose to quarter of information right here in the south the country problems will solve, because all our leaders will run away they know the implication of exposing us to truth. someone like is privilege to have been in south west from birth that makes me to understand somethings. But all the same the northerners really needs to be carried along, keep them inform, re-orientate them and see where this country wil go.

@Post

It is easy to point fingers and blame the north, but majority of notherners are victims of the Nigerian situation as much we are.

I agree with the above but how can you earn the trust when we cannot even tell the truth about our past? You cannot continue to sweep issues under the carpet instead of addressing them and expect people to pretend nothing happened.

Even Rwanda has moved on so why can't Nigeria? Truth makes a lot of difference and it must come before reconciliation and forgiveness which will lead to mutual trust and respect.

dont get me wrong i would rather nigeria not break up, But then again its not a do or die affair, If it is possible to live in peace, respect and equality why not, But if it is not possible why not break up?

Mind you xianjiang region wants to break up so doest the tibetans, china is far more homogeneous than nigeria as thew were not completely colonized and forced to leave together

Sorry for the confusion or misunderstanding, my post was actually sarcastic because it seems that certain parts of the country are beginning to see what Ojukwu objected to before the civil war.

You seem to be contracdicting urself, if south shouldn't come together because of the purported lies both past and present, why should we support one Nigeria? Is the present day Nigeria not a big Bottom LIE?

However, I'd go with ur support one Nigeria cos' splitting will most definitely lead to bloodshed. All these peeps wey dey agitate for fight to finish go hia wien when the thing start

By staying as one, we'd (south) slowly but surely reform the polity and dynamics of ruling the country.

biko kwu okwu ofuma, at all cost? If something is bound for failure no amount of effort can change that, Should people be laboring for nothing just for the sake of one nigeria?

We can break up and still be friends who trade and visit one another. Different nationalities dont mean enemies

With the way lies are still being told about what happened in the past I don't see a united Southern Nigeria in a long time and based on these lies I hope the unity some are craving for now never comes because you cannot build anything on lies. Enough of the lies. Let us support one Nigeria at all cost.
