Why are Boko Haram members killing each other?

Boko Haram members start to kill each other due to a split within the organization. Abubakar Shekau and al-Barnawi are at war with each other, so their people will fight also.

Boko Haram has become a real threat for Nigeria and bordered countries. They tend to have no mercy not only to Christians but also to Muslims who, according to their accusations, are infidel to the principles of Islam, Quran, and Allah. Moreover, their vicious eagerness for killing seems to have no measures as the count of their victims can be more than six thousand and five hundred people murdered and tens of thousands crippled and wounded.  Furthermore, similar to ISIS on the East, Boko Haram conquers territories and creates their perfect society. Even if the people who got lucky to live on the lands of these societies – suffer a lot from constant terrorism, fear, lack of supplies, shooting, bullying and other.

Boko Haram not only seek enemies from outside of the organization, but they also desire to tear each other throats. Therefore, recently in Tumur`s community ten people who were part of Boko Haram Organization were killed. Supposedly, the clashes appeared due to split within Boko Haram into two rival wings. The first one is led by Abubakar Shekau, the ex-leader of Boko Haram who lost the support of ISIS and the group. The second one is a newly anointed Abu Musab al-Barnawi who is a son of Mohammed Yusuf.

Abubakar Shekau and his loyal insurgents desire to return the power of the group. In the same time, more and more Boko Haram fighters pledge loyalty to a new leader. The killing of ten people in Tumur was just one of the first clashes. In the same time, the inside killing each other can be beneficial for the military forces of the state. There are fighters of Boko Haram who surrendered the authorities due to clashes. Islamic State created by Boko Haram seems to be trembled as the organization leaders tear each other apart. Nevertheless, some civilians also struggle to due to constant fighting on their territories.
