Why Did Yar'adua Drop Daggash?

why would the president drop one of the most vocal and energetic people in his cabinet? I though Yar'adua and Daggash were very close. Just recently, he praised Daggash in South Africa for his work in making it easier to open a bank in Nigeria. Similarly, why would he drop Aliyu Modibbo Umar as FCT minister, these were people that were close to him. Any inside stories??

Ur first point is a key reason to sack em (if i were in Umoru's shoes, i'll toe the same line)

I totally second point #2

As for the 3rd point, it remains to be seen cos in my view, he flip flops a lot.

Am particularly happy about this.

This is one unserious minister we have holding a key ministry.

imagine a minister an ex-minister boasting to yar adua that "Do you know I'm the only minister who doesn't use the siren?"

holy crap!

I was also shocked to the marrow to hear Modibbo and Daggash were dropped. They were the least expected. They were perhaps the most powerful members of his cabinet. They too were very shocked, especially Modibbo, who, I reda, couldn't fight back tears. Thank God they were northerners, otherwise some people could have read tribal meaning to Y's action. Anyway,YRD is a no non-sense man.

no inside story yet but what's with daggash making it easier to open an account?

and daggash wasn't productively energetic he wasn't doing anything with his portfolio

apart from playing footsie with shamsudeen and mansur

he was quite vocal though-'we're are planning to do this and that which will translate to this and that

but you rarely see the effect for the common man- theory smarts- so many of them in Nigerian politics!

according to Daily trust Daggash wasn't happy with kingibe's exit
