Would You Believe CNN Or Nigerian Government?

Should Nigeria BAN Jeff Koinange? What do you think?

ABUJA, Nigeria (CNN) -- A Nigerian government spokesman on Monday accused CNN of paying for and staging a report that showed 24 Filipino hostages being held by masked gunmen in the remote mangrove swamps of southern Nigeria.

"We have evidence that some of these people were actually paid to put up a show," Nigerian Minister of Information Frank Nweke Jr. told CNN International about last week's report by Jeff Koinange, CNN's Africa correspondent.

"It was a paid job, and that's exactly why we are very upset about it," he said, without offering evidence.

"He had actually approached other people before then to do the same thing and his offer was declined. And he shopped around for more people and found those criminals who were willing to play ball with him and they put on the kind of show that they put up and which was shown around the world."

I don't think you can use the terms "believe" and "Nigerian Govt" in the same sentence.

Hoe did they get into Nigeria without security aids should be the question?

you don't let people in to your house without prior knowledge.  what were the immigration and the customs doing?

When I com,e to Nigeria the scrutinized every luggage i bring in to the country. how did they get their

cameras and all high tech equipment to Nigeria without any aid. who took them to Niger Delta?  There is a

breach in security here, and the Federal government should be seeking answer to those questions.   They exposed our dirty laundry and someone aided CNN

why should we believe a government that has been lying for 8 years non stop? i don't know who to believe here but what i know is that the suituation in the Niger delta is not very far from what was reported on CNN. even if they whole show was staged the FG will be lying as usual to deny the fact about what is happening over there cos it is no different from what was shown. what is happening in that region i believe is worse than what was shown on television by CNN. rather than blaming the CNN for showing the whole world there inadequatecies they FG should keep shut and wait for May to hand over power to another regime which i pray will try to help we nigerians because this government is a total failure.

How can anybody believe Nigerian Govt aas represented by Frank Nweke? The guy himself is loosing so much weight from the heavy weight of lies he is forced to tell Nigerians. I know OBJ is angry the journalist is not a Nigerian , HRM would have had his boys {Adedibu or Uba} to handle. God will liberate us from this lying goons.
