Are Christians And Moslems Worshipping The Same God?

Is Allah the same as The Almighty God?

Did the same God sent Jesus and Mohammed?

If so, Why different messages and methods?

Why are the doctrines in opposition to each other

Why did the Koran mandates all moslems to eschew christians and jews and not even make friends with them but to waylay them, and maim them?

Why would the same God send a love messanger first and a hate messanger later?

Are we confused or is God playing games (God forbid).

These are the questions I find troubling

A clear differentiation between Allah and God. Follow me lets do the maths-----------isma{IL) same as ess ma (el) , jibr(il) same as gabriel and so many like that this is what my point the world EL IN HEBREW IS THE SAME AS IL IN ARABIAN and the word mean GOD so why are they using the word Allah as suffix to their names before the islamic era like abdullah who is the mohammad father in the history it was claimed he was idol worshiper. from that you will know

Michael Tsarion was right when he said that everybody loves a dictator or a tyrant, but nobody loves somebody else's tyrant. When you see the way christians and moslems defend each other's tyrant deities, then you know just how accurate that statement is?

The christians god tells his chosen men to kill others and take what belongs to them, yet you guys see nothing wrong in that, the christian god goes around displaying tantrums like a little kid and promising to kill people for disobedience, yet you guys still do not see anything wrong with it, If the muslim god does the same, you guys will see everything wrong with it and will go ahead to label him and evil deity. . . .What is the difference between Allah and the OT god?. . .NOTHING. . . .Yet people like you always go about attacking Allah when your god is no different, I saw some one talking about sacrifices as part of Allah's vices on another thread, does such a person know that yahweh used to request for human sacrifice in the bible?. . . . .I laugh when i read such things here. . . . .People don't even read their bibles at all. . . .

This doesn't show anything. David did led many battles likewise other men. What i want is where God was directly identified as man in the war front slaughtering people in the battle field

Take note of the bolded, 'you evil shepherd' the wrath of God isn't without a cause.

I never denied Gods wrath on men. Were they caused or weren't caused?. Its two way i.e if u do this and that, u will get so so and so. and vice versa

here this in compliment to the above The key to understanding God’s wrath lies in understanding the nature of God's love. For anyone who has loved another should recognize the reality that love, while at times wonderful, can also hurt—more deeply than if love were not involved at all. To quote Dr. Rolf Jacobson from his book "Crazy Talk," the wrath (or anger) of God is, "The puzzling to human beings concept that God loves our neighbors so much that God gets angry at us when we do (or don't do) things and cause them to suffer." Indeed, if God is a just God as the Bible claims He is, God HAS to get angry quite a bit with the way humans tend to treat one another on a pretty regular basis. This anger is what might be termed as "God's loving wrath." After all, who do you get the angriest at? The people you love the most.

God's Wrath is Always Temporal is what u see in the  (Jeremiah 42:9-10) u qoute above mazaje

Psalm 30:5 says, "God's anger is but for a moment; his favor is for a lifetime." To quote Abraham Lincoln, "God is angry with all of the people some of the time, God is angry with some of the people all of the time, but God is not angry with all of the people all of the time." So while God may get angry at how humans fail to love each other and harm one another, his love and forgiveness through Christ "is for a lifetime" and beyond.

That is why the difference is clear no matter how a person be he will never come across to the point in the Qur'an that cleary mentioned Allah has coming down for any purpose, because He is invisible and well able for presenting His wishes right from the point where He is settled unlike bible god.

Yes according to the bible, there are passages that talk about yahweh coming down to kill people and stain his cloth with their blood while boasting and screming that he did it alone in the book of Jeremiah I think, I wonder why a god that is said to be all powerful is boasting  and beating his chest about killing people alone, I will look it up and post it up for you because I have posted the verse here on nairaland before, there are other passages that talk about Yahweh moving around with lamps in the night lookinf for people to kill, people that have offended him or broken his laws, I wonder why a god that knows everything needs a lamp to look for people.

Here are some verses that I can easily remember wbout yahewh himself coming down to kill people by himself. . . .

In that day those the LORD has slaughtered will fill the earth from one end to the other.  No one will mourn for them or gather up their bodies to bury them.  They will be scattered like dung on the ground.   (Jeremiah 25:33)

Weep and moan, you evil shepherds!  Roll in the dust, you leaders of the flock!  The time of your slaughter has arrived; you will fall and shatter like fragile pottery.  You will find no place to hide; there will be no way to escape.  Listen to the frantic cries of the shepherds, to the leaders of the flock shouting in despair, for the LORD is spoiling their pastures.  Peaceful meadows will be turned into a wasteland by the LORD's fierce anger.  He has left his den like a lion seeking its prey, and their land will be made desolate by the sword of the enemy and the LORD's fierce anger.   (Jeremiah 25:34-38)

Even the yahweh admist that he does evil in the bible. . . .

"Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, to whom you sent me to offer your prayer: If you remain quietly in this land I will build you up, and not tear you down; I will plant you, not uproot you; for I regret the evil I have done you."   (Jeremiah 42:9-10)

Why are you trying to paint and evil God that admits himself that he sometime does evil and regrets doing it by apologizing?

caused or causeless (or whatever language you're trying to speak here), the biblical god was WRATHFULL (not loving) is the point here

your god, as written about him in the OT was worse than a fighter, he was a genocidal maniac in the mythical writtings about him. he couldn't have come down (not "than" mr. phd holder) to fight cos he actually is non-existent

dude, have you read the old testament? the OT bible god is wrathfull and merciless, genocidal and rampantly sheds blood of the innocents and is no where close to the word peacefull. the jewish yahweh got way more body counts than the arabian Allah

There is a clear difference btw the God of the Holy bible and Quran, definitely not the same God. But a reader or listener to the teachings of these books will note some similarities in content, yet they are distinctively different. While the god of the quran does not allow the name (Allah) to be translated to another language in usage esp during prayers, the god of the bible permits the believer to to translate it to the local language of the user.

The God of the bible claimed to be the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob(Israel) and is the creator of every visible and invisible things. The God of the quran claims the prophets of the bible (with exceptions).

One is full of mercy and forgiving and the other is opposite. One hate shedding blood of the innocent while the other does not. One peaceful and the other violent. The list goes on and on. They cannot be the same God

Yes if you meant GOD. The method in which their messages get to GOD is different. All i know is that, Allah is GOD. One GOD! HE begot none nor was HE begotten. I also know that GOD sent all His Prophets to this world at a particular time for the same purpose which was to preach His words to the people of their time. You don't need any intermediary to reach GOD. The same GOD that created those Prophets created you and without any doubt or misuse of words those Prophets are with GOD and still worship HIM so worship and  rely on HIM alone for helps and directions not Jesus Christ, Mohammed, Moses and others.

Yahweh (of OT) and Allah are actually similar - both violent beings. Then there's this other God in the NT - peaceful, gentle, loving.

The answer is NO. . .Allah is not the same deity as Yahweh which is also different From the God of the new testement because even Christians worship two different deities. The OT deity and the NT deity.  Lots of differences between the two.

the jews were first, they said that god would send them a savior.  jesus came and a group followed him to create christianity.  the jews still waited for their savior.  mohamed came and a group followed him creating islam.  the jews still wait.  there have been and still are dozens of other sub-cults within this religious tree, but all have thier roots in the same god

This is like asking, "is superman and batman the same fictional character?". Ofcourse they both are worshipping two clearly different fictional entities with imaginary superpowers, like spiderman and wonderwoman, that continues to exist only in their own imaginations and the paper-made pages of so-called holy books

NO, they are not worshipping the same God.

If u think Allah is the same god that beget a son and he comprises of three entity then u are mistaken.

'The messiah (jesus), son of mary was no more than a messenger, many were the messengers that passed away before him. His mother (Mary) was truthful believer. They both use to eat food (as any other human being, while God does not eat). Look how we make the revealation clear to them, yet look how they are deluded away from the truth' Quran 5:75
