Every one of you, including me, will be judged by our life's record. Did you know that that judgement began in heaven and was predicted by Daniel the prophet. This judgement is actually the atonement process that started some time after Christ went to heaven.
14 And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.
The sanctuary is the control tower of the universe where God dwells. Inside that Sanctuary lies the heavenly temple that John saw and in which Christ our High Priest is making intercession for us in the judgement hour.
This first phase of judgment considers only those who claim to be God's children. Everyone who professes to be God's will be judged first. Listen to Peter's saying:
1 Peter 4:17
17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
Listen to John's saying
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Some people believe that people will stand literally before God to give an account, but here the bible is saying that even those who were dead their lifes' record will come up for review.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
8 Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?
A. Jesus is our advocate (1 John 2:1).
B. Jesus is our judge (John 5:22).
C. Jesus is our faithful and true witness (Revelation 3:14).
Every man has a probationary time in which to make things right with God. This judgement was designed to assist us in getting it right, because Jesus is our advocate we have nothing to lose, be cause He is on our side. Listen to what Jesus said:
11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. 12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
After the judgement whatever condition in which you find yourself will remain. The righhteous will remain so, and like wise the wicked. Both sets of people will recieve thier reward after the heavenly verdict is passed.
So when Jesus returns thats it. There will be no more chances for those who didn't make it right. Now if you hear His "voice harden not your hearts"
