Does Anyone Not Know What The K-T Boundary Is ?

The K-T boundary (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K%E2%80%93T_boundary) is a layer of sedimentation deposited around 65 million years ago. This layer is very rich in iridium, an element mainly found in asteroid, so this layer, found all over the world is associated with an asteroid impact. It is also associated with mass extinction of animals and plants. In fact, the dinosaurs are thought to have been killed off by the consequences of the impact at that time.

Yes I know what the K-T boundary is. We create human gadgets to tell us what date something happened. What's to say that dating materials are accurate? just because they can detect correctly within hundreds of years doesn't mean that it's accurate for longer periods.
