Is A Marriage That Was Started Under Spell Valid Before God?

I was a student of a Bible Institute when a Senior Pastor who was our Instructor stated that any marriage no matter how it started is recognized before God. I then asked about one that happened somewhere behind where I was living then that a young desperate man used strange powers to manipulate a very pretty (local champion) Lady into agreeing to marry him. After a few years, the Lady woke up one morning to recover her consciousness. She couldnt believe she had been living with him those years. What actually happened was that the guy forgot to perform a routine sacrifice to preserve and revive the charm.

Dont ever suggest I do not know the meaning of marriage. Atleast I'm enjoying one.

In my analogy, I stated how the lady was manipulated into AGGREEING to marry him (the manipulator). There was first an agreement and then a marriage. But she claimed some years later that she wasnt 'in herself' when she entered it. These are people known to me.

If they signed a dotted line saying they're married, then they're married. God recognizes legal unions between a man and a woman ie marriage.

How the marriage started isnt a valid reason for divorce.

Unless she woke up to discover she was one of many wives.

imo.

lol, What kind of spell?? I wonder why it's only in Nigeria we hear about men/women using spells to get their partner to love them, It's called making a MISTAKE, The girl probably woke up and realized she didn't love him anymore and ended the relationship.

@Lady

I'm sure you do know that the human mind is feeble and people will come up with anything to explain away their actions or inaction. What I'm sayin is, if this didn't happen to you don't for once be a 100 percent sure it is real. In fact I will only accept it as a possibility with a chance very near to 0.

A love potion is as real as a fail proof aphrodisiac, I'm sure in Nigeria one night stands would be explained away as being the effect of some spell being cast by one of the participants.

I thing what you need to understand is: "the meaning of marriage". Because if you actually understand what marriage means you will get a better way of phrasing your question. From your analogy, I have not seen any legal consent mentioned. The issue sound like co-habitation.

oh my dear trust me it's not only in movies. And I'm not saying this because I know somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody's mother's sister's bestfriend's sister's aunty's uncle. I am saying this because this directly affects me, unfortunately it took the death of a person for the truth to be realised by the other.

@father ab

not all marriages are recognised by God. For example, a person who divorces and marries another is not considered married to the second partner by God. Because God doesn't recognise divorces. To him you are married to the first person.

Now if the marriage is annulled and the people involved marries it is recognised by God.

And for a marriage to be recognised, certain things have to be met.

for example Both partners have to give their consent. In this situation the woman did not give their consent. Your pastor reacted that way because he himself doesn't know what constitutes a marriage, and he was wrong for blaming the girl. What nonsense? The pastor was hiding his own flaws.

The ideas for most movies are gotten from real life issues and happenings. That is what makes them interesting and relevant.

This particular incidence happened BEHIND my house then.

The Lady in that story packed her belongings and terminated the illicit marriage.

So is that the right thing?

Where is the place of forgiveness? Wasnt Jesus KILLED yet forgave them? Is this issue more than death.

The viewpoint of the pastor was that he will place the blame at the doorpost of the Lady. He said she wasnt save and therefore not safe from the guy's or any other satanic manipulation.

It sounds cool. Isnt it?
