And I waited for babaearly, the Christian who is Quranic Scholar to cull out "Flat" from the Quran to describe the Earth and I did not see it. And my comment about the muddy spring/water, is simply this Allah says the "person" get to a place where the sunset in a muddy spring. It is not to say that every water, but then what do you observe when the DYINGrays of sun hit the water surface at sunset? It is always dark; Murky look!
Please make your own observation, and report to us, babaearly. The Ocean looks dark at night, the reason they say "like two passing ships" expressions. Just imagine before it becomes pitched black, it is murky, and thats when the sun is setting.
Could sleek29 and or Nezan show a verse in the Quran or an ahadith statement to confirm this to us? I long time ago, a foolish non-muslim asked a friend by the name Abdallah Andy Spencer if the sun and the earth revolves, and Allah says in the Quran that the sun rises and sets, is that not a partial misstatement, even though another verse of the Quran says the sun and the earth moves in their prescribed courses?
Abdallah looked at the man directly and asked him, what do you always see the sun do in the morning, and what does it do at night? The non-muslim had no choice but to confess that the sun rises in the morning and the sun sets ushering in the night through the evening! Allah answers the question if you only look. And further answers it when you are in space to see that the earth moves and so does the sun!
And for those of you who thinks that Allah says the earth is a carpet, covering, and that translates to the earth being flat must lack insights. Do you not have carpet to cover and walk on? Is there an end to the earth, that people can not walk on it; glide as in parasailing, etc, and sail on it another form of movement over the carpet?
