Jesus Is Coming Soon: Are You Ready?

Noah in his days prepared for the rain. The people never saw rain so disbelieved him. The rest is history. Now in our days, Jesus said He is coming back again. No man knows the day nor the hour.

The question is this, ARE YOU READY? What preparation should be made and how can you know when you are ready?

"And what I say unto you I say unto all, WATCH"

"The Kingdom of God was not, for Jesus, a divine monopoly exclusively bound to his own person. It began on the level of the body and appeared as a shared community of healing and eating - that is to say, of spiritual and physical resources available to each and all without distinctions, discriminations, or hierarchies. One entered the Kingdom as a way of life, and anyone who could live it could bring it to others. It was not just words alone, or deeds alone, but both together as life-style." - John Dominic Crossan (Jesus, a revolutianary biography)

Where is your evidence that there is life after death?

There is life after death, with two destinations. Let this be a reminder if it had been forgotten. We that are alive may not know, but those that are death will definitely know if those things they refuted because of logical reasoning were correct or just made up

"And as it is apponited unto man once to die, but after this the judgement:"

Once life on earth has ended then we will know for sure whether the Jesus of the Bible was a mythical Jesus created to keep Him alive. Voltaire, and the others that have passed on know now.

Don't let it be too late for you to prepare

Here. . . I scanned some pages from a book that a prof at my school recommended. It is the textbook for a course on Jesus I was trying to avoid because a friend of mine said there was too much work involved. I'm only half-way through the book and I've decided to take the course next term. Remember, though, this is 5 pages from a 200 page book, which is a condensed version of a much much larger book. . so this will probably raise more questions than it answers, but at least u might get an idea of how much work people have put into trying to understand how Jesus lived and what he was up against. I hope it is legible . . .

Jesus is not coming back. His message has been grossly misintepreted. He never claimed to be any of the things he was made to be after his death. There is a historical Jesus (the real man, the wise, charismatic Jewish peasant that caused such a stir in his time), and there is a biblical/mythical Jesus (that was created by his family/ close followers in an attempt to both keep the memory alive, and raise their social status/profile). To understand his message you have to do a lot of work. . .most can't be bothered, so they'll just take their pastor's word for it.

The issue is more than just hoping. The effort should be yours. Assuming an important visitor were to visit you, preparation would be in top gear. So also it is vitally important to prepare for the King of kings. Only this time the preparation is a little different. Give your life to Him as your Lord and personal Saviour, after recognizing that you are a sinner and repenting of your known sins. Ask Him to come into your life and direct you in all your endeavours. And most importantly WATCH.

There is no need for me to hope He doesn't come now. I must be prepared.

Did your own unscientific claims(Polystrate fossils) come from your own brain?

In spite of what the Christians preach, if their Messiah Jesus was to return today, in the image that he is portrayed, he would not be accepted by the masses of the people. They have depicted him as a Caucasian revolutionary middle-aged man dressed in hippie clothes, talking about love and peace for everyone. People would consider him as being crazy (as they said about the hippies of the 60’s) or try to kill him because he would be a threat to the devil’s economic success. Money is the concern at hand, not the salvation of your soul.

Oop's, while there was no rain before around 4004 BCE - because that's when the Earth and the universe were created, don't you know - the date I should have mentioned was 2348 b.c.e which is when the flood occurred. *wink* *wink* *nudge nudge*. Well, that's if you're one of those Biblical literalists. Using Ussher's very literal reading of the Bible, and juxtaposing it with the bizarre claim that there was no rain before the mythical flood gives us no rain before 2348 B.C.E.

Noetic I'm no geologist but your evidences for the flood were dismissed in numerous threads. . .

How many times have it been established that this flood indeed took place.

This is exactly what I meant by running in circle. How did u deduce that there was no rain for 4004 BCE?

KAG is at it again!

How many times will they tell you that noah's flood is all one big LIE?

The most important thing is to be ready and not to convince any one. Noah preached to the people and as Jesus put it, "But as the days of Noe were, so shall the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall the coming of the Son of man be"

Oh dear! Just in case there were any doubt in my mind about your parsing abilities, eh? I was talking about this: "The people never saw rain so disbelieved him. The rest is history"

You know, the one where the OP implied there was no rain before approximately 4004 BCE; and it's history.

Wait, what? Who never saw rain? What's history? I don't think you're using the word "history" right.
