Must Every Pastor Gel Their Hair In Chris Embassy?

I am not here to condemn cos I am not holy. But take a look at this church. Every pastor in that church is now imitating Pastor Chris hair style. Even if he gel his hair, must the pastors or even the congregation copy him? It is very suspicious that the power is in his hair. Even the married pastors that looks decent are now curling their hair. For God sake we are Africans and we should act like one. The hair is not modest. I like pastor Chris teaching but not the action of the pastors. Thanks.

A man who gel his hair Cannot be a role model for African.

A man who gel his hair suffer from a lost of identity.

It is good to have an identity in life but many don't know about this. The man is a role model. Try to create your own identity and stop criticizing people. Be an actor in life not a commentator. I guess you are one of this mad atheists.

Hair texture isn't exclusive to any one single race. There are negro aborigenes in australia who've got blonde hair, south asians with black skin but european type of hair. Even some arabs in the middle east have got a kind of wooly hair. . Nothing new here.

Another clear case of comparism. . .could it be any more clear?

It says his hair was as WHITE AS WOOL! The specific characteristic of wool is well stated and its the WHITE colour not short curly nature like you're dishonestly trying to claim.

ABOUT MOSES

Moses skin turned "white" then turned back into the other flesh "what other flesh" (during the miracle of turning his skin leprous) . . . did Tudor not just talk about Isrealites being white . . . what other flesh can it be other than white
the verse says moses' hand turned as white as snow. . . Every slowpoke on this planet knows if a white man stands beside a snowman, the snowman is still WHITER ANYDAY!

Let me educate you (and i've told you this before), the ancient israelites lived in a hot desert environment where there is seering heat they're bound to be much more tanned than the present day europeans but definately not negro. This is simple biology.

Moses' hand simply reverted to its original colour from 'snow white'. no human being on earth is physically as white as snow.

The question should be unto what end is the statement being made. And that verse should be considered in the general theme of the whole book of amos which tries to potray God as God of ALL NATIONS!

It says, Are you not like the ethiopians unto me i.e I perceive you the same way as I see the ethiopians, that is to say EQUALITY. It then goes on to prove that in the next part by saying just the same way I saved isreal from egypt, so did I deliver the philistines and syrians too! Meaning unto me you are all equal!

Chai!

That verse is divided into two . . .

1. Portion dealing with the description of the Isrealites (THAT THEY ARE LIKE THE ETHIOPIANS)

2. Portion dealing with what he did (BRINGING ISREAL OUT OF EGYPT, PHILISTINES OUT OF CAPHTOR AND SYRIANS OUT OF KIR).

The verse did not say the Creator was constrasting the Isrealites to the different Ethiopians . . . on the contrary . . .it tells us that they are like the Ethiopians.

SO PLEASE STOP TRYING TO PUT IN YOUR OWN MEANING INTO THE BIBLE VERSE JUST TO SATISFY YOUR OWN MOTIVES . . .

the question is TO WHAT ACCURACY AND DESCRIPTION ARE THE ISREALIST LIKE THE ETHIOPIANS . . . ARE THEY COMPLETELY LIKE THE ETHIOPIANS IN ALL RAMIFICATIONS OR IS IT IN TERMS OF SOMETHING ELSE THAT THE BIBLE IS NOT TELLING US.

Dude I sleep you know.

Infact looking at the general theme of the book of Amos you quoted from, its obvious the prophet held the opinion of Yahweh being the God of ALL people rather than exclusively the God of the Jews. As evidenced by the verse you quoted (and several others like amos 1 : 3,6,9,11,13 ; 2: 1, 4, 6) god is taking responsibility for bringing the jews out of egypt as well as delivering/saving the philistines from caphtor and the syrians from kir.

Its with that general theme in mind that he compared the israelites to children of ethiopians all in a bid to show/prove he's God of them ALL. One has to think the Ethiopians were chosen to make that analogy because they were TOTALLY different/diverse from the jews, this was to help drive the point further that Yahweh is God of ALL people. Yes, the prophet used them for their different skin colour/culture.

Its even still used today, Nothing says a company is for all people than using a black and white face together in your Advertising campaign.

Why the senseless ranting?

Pls can anyone ask this joker to show us different ancient records where ALL black people were referred to as ethiopians?

What kind of slowpoke uses quips like "The creator told me they are like ethiopians" as evidence for anything. What damn creator?

Your creator must be slow because no evidence acheological or whatsoever points to ancient jews as Negro.

So take your crazy ramblings to the dogs. . .no sensible human being with perfect intellect would take you seriously.

@mr racist.

1. I've tried my best, but would anyone try to educate this wierdo that atheism has no link whatsoever with the skin colour of ancient nomadic tribesmen. He claims to be 29 yrs old (probably 30) but still reasons like a kid.

2. Christianity was brought to our motherland by the slave trading white prick. So yes, yahweh is the white mans saviour. Its funny how the white man himself has abandoned such delusions centuries ago but Africans are still keen on it, even exporting it abroad. What a shame.

3. Here is one who blames the europeans and americans for every woe in his life, yet comfortably lives amongst them in manchester while trying shamelessly to convert their messiah to a negro.

4. Not once has this guy ever produced evidence to support his claim besides rambling on that the creator told him and presenting some crazy unreviewed book.

5. Mr man, be confident as a negro, you don't need to make jesus out as a negro to give meaning to your life.

6. This thread isn't abt existence dont divert

The image of a fake white messiah was used for propaganda. Revelation 1:14-15 describes Jesus’ hair texture which is like lamb’s wool as well as in 1 Corinthians 11:14 where it states that it is a shame for a man to have long hair. This goes to show you that the image of Jesus with long hair could not be the true image of the true Son of God, Jesus Christ.

Please note that I am not saying Pastor Chris is trying to be like Jesus . . . I don't know and I don't care, cus only him can really answer that question. . . instead my focus is on this your highlighted statement.

1. This statement is loaded, good, sound and confusing all at the same time.

2. What do you mean by not wanting to grow your hair.

3. The statement implies that you seem to have a perception of what the Hair of the Messiah looked like.

4. Which kind of hair did the Messiah have.

5. How do you think the Messiah looked like.

6. The Bible makes us to understand that we need to tell the Truth at all times.

7. Is there not something wrong somewhere when Pastors (who are supposed to know the Truth) ends up promoting an European image of the Messiah, even though the bible made it very clear that:

Europeans were the Gentiles (not the Africans) and that the Messiah was certainly not an European.

These are signs of the end times. Charlatans feigning to be believers.

It all gets down to wrong leadership, the way we have it in all spheres of life be it governments, households and the churches. A father who smokes cigarettes and drinks alcohol in the house is indirectly imbibing such cultures in his children. Same goes for a church where idle pastors dissipate their energy in the hair salons and on bleaching creams.

How many regular workers in Lagos can create time for such inanities. Such charlatans have deluded their followers to the extent of blind fanaticism after receiving or fantasizing endless slideshows of illusions they term 'miracles' .

Christianity does not prescribe fanaticism, rather if you can walk in the ways of the Lord, you will ask and shall receive. Poverty has turned millions of so called Xtians to 'almajiris' in the face of the Lord. They look up to their pastors as next to God therby becoming unable to even read the bible and free themselves from their slavish submission to their pastors.

We should be able to reason along with the bible and not turn ourselves into excursionists in the wilderness of hopelessness.

Curling ones air is not sin, however, it comes across that most of the pastors in Christ Embassy is taking the curling affair a bit over-board. It seems that most of them are trying so hard "to be like" Pastor Chris in appearance. The attempt to dress like pastor Chris shows that these pastors are more concerned about his physical looks and how it relates to them that what he teaches and how it affects their lives. They are living in his shadow and that is what people are raising their eyebrows about.

I want to be like Jesus - I am concerned about the spiritual significance of his ministry and how it relates to my life. However, I do not have to dress the way He did because I want to be like Him; I don't grow my hair because I want to be like Jesus. I am me yet I am of Him.

I think these pastors are loosing their personal identities with what they are doing - it is not a sin but it does send a lot of mixed messages.

My question is - why are they curling their hair?

@all,HELLO, Is there not suppose to be sum kind of outward and inward difference btw christians and pple of the world.is it not God who created the inner of our body that also created the outward.lets not be dumb, lets reason.

That is sense knowledge. The bible didn't talk of any outward difference but inward change. Well maybe the difference should be. " Christian carry dada hair , sinners look decent " Christian smell sweat and sinners wear perfume. Don't tell me you're one of the people that believes that any christian wearing perfume is smelling carnal.

If it's a honest answer you want , the answer is No. It is not a doctrine for any church to have a particular hairstyle. If a man has stubborn hair , he makes it soft . But another dimension is that people naturaly imitate the leader that has affected them. You see in TD jakes church in America a lot of his members have skin cut just like him. He didn't force them . Some politician follow their role model wearing awolowo round glass. It is not every pastor in christ embassy that did their soft, it's a choice. If they all do it ,it's beautiful. If you're interested , there's; sporting waves, s curls, etc . But if it's still Vaseline you want to stick to it's still a choice.

The question is not if hair curling is a sin or not, but wheather it is an officially ACCEPTED standard practice in Christ Embassy that it is better to have a curled hair.

There is no need for members of CE to put anyone who dare raise any observation to the sword.

It is no biggie if there is an unwritten doctrine that male members should endeavour to fry their hairs.

Afterall, the Celes wear white garments without footwears

The Catholic priests wear white cassocks

The Deeper Life neither watch TV nor wear ear rings, let alone relax their hair.

So it is nobody's business if Mr. Chris and his boys decides to wear Afro or GALLAS, afterall they are into SHOWBIZ

IT is lack of enlightenment that makes someone criticise another person"s hair care. is it wrong to look good. their wives are not complaining, God is not complaining. God has given us body . it is left for us to care for it.if you feel they should keep it natural why dont you keep yours natural. why do you cut your hair, you cut off what God created!. why use vaseline on yours and condemn who use gel, why shave your beards, why cream your body. why wear oyinbo suit and tie , God made you Unclad. you should join the winning team. the natural looking man is the mad man on the street. ho do you like that?

its quite funny the way u folks always have somefin to say about a ministry that cares less about what u Hypercrites have 2 say, firstly, a hair style cannot increase a ministry if u fink it can, stake biblical claims dat ascertain that, secondly, wearing a "GALLAS" can in no way upset God, what kinda hair style do u fink God wants or looks out for?thirdly, d pope wears a cap, bishops too,Archbishops too, Question-are they holier than u? if they cud wear it in the church and call demselves "orthodox" den i fink nobody wud go to hell for wearing a cap/hat in church. if u (ofcousre) fink so pls enlighten me-i mean verses n chapters, u dig?
