Who are Jains? Jain Dharma is a well-known Indian religion that came to Nigeria. According to Jainism religion, the whole world should be based on three most important principles, like non-violence, non-absolutism, and non-possessiveness. Finding roots in Jainism history is tough. Nevertheless, scientists suppose that the Jainism began in the first century before Christ. The founder of Jainism was Rsabhanatha. According to his teaching, Jains have no God creator or destroyer. Jain god is a universe itself with worldly cycles that keeps repeating. According to Jainism, the whole world can be divided into six substances like Matter, Time, Soul, Dharma, Space, and Adharma.

There is no God in Jainism. The endless universe creates itself through the cycles. All universals are maintained by the natural laws, according to that, if there was no mass, it couldn’t have accumulated out of somewhere. The whole mass of the universe remains the same the whole time.

According to this religion, God is not the highest spiritual entity that rules the life and death. Moreover, every human can surpass God through meditation and spiritual manifestation. Any person can be provided by enlightenment and become the greater entity than God.

As no entity can intervene the human destiny, then all peoples become owners of their future. There is no one to blame in your fails except you and no one to ask help. Every soul has its responsibilities over the life that was chosen.

According to Jainism beliefs, there are supreme entities that are called devas. They are similar to angels, but there are not gods or related to any god. Similar to human, they can suffer from decisions they make and eventually die. Nevertheless, they obtain godly powers like manipulating the forces of nature.

It`s a religion where you have no God to rely on, and you are the one who is responsible for all bad things happened to you. The only man to rely on is ourselves. There is no one to help us in hard times, and none can save from that times. The only way to become enlightened is through self-enlightenment that comes with spiritual practices.

To leave a happy and enlightenment liFe, every adept of Jainism must take five vows. The vow of non-violence refers not to take any violence action against living beings. The promise of speaking the truth can be overcome by the first vow of non-violence. The promise of stealing means that none should have any possess that came unwillingly.  The vow of chastity for people and celibacy for monks. The vow of not-possessiveness.

The monks live very ascetic lives. According to their religions, the true enlightenment can become over the spiritual practice. It means that no world values should pose the price for Jains monks. Nevertheless, they do not serve as a priest for any god. They are only mentors to the souls. They usually offer and provide help to the adepts of Jainism.
