Why Pastors Children Often Embrace Cultism, Prostitution, Etc?

I wonder why pastors children always want to destroy the image of their fathers.

You ask me why? Most of pastors children do involved themselves in bad habits such as cultism, prostitution, and so on.

Though I'm not saying that those [who are not pastors' children] do not find themselves in these kind of bad habits. But it should not be [found among] pastors children.

the question, ''Why pastors children ofen

embrace cultism, prostitution,etc?''

is totally wrong,

the question is supposed to be

why do we talk about

pastor`s child involvement in

some dirty activities when we have

Emmanuel,Paul,Esther,John {other xtians}

involved but without a pastor as dad?

the fact is that it is very obvious when a pastor`s

child is involved.

The bible cannot lie it’s the manual for my life and the bible says train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old ,he will not depart from it !!! Proverbs 22-6 Shikena and the word of God will not return unto Him void, but must accomplish that purpose which it has been sent. I m a product of that word - The word works!!!

I am a pastor's wife and my husband and I have been asked by our church Board of Trustees to step down from being pastors because my husband's nephew whose 29 years old and only been living with us just over a year had committed fornication with a young lady from church who is 11 years younger than himself. They are getting married in two weeks time after they had eloped for a few days. Our only son who is 30 years old is separated from his wife after 8 years of being together and during the separation, his girlfriend had given birth to my grandson Marcus about 3 months ago. We have been pastors for only 5 years in this church and its been quite an experience. My husband is taking it very hard because we don't teach our children to go out there and sin.We teach them the ways of God and if they don't listen, that's their choice. We don't force it on them, because they are not young anymore and to have some sort of relationship with them, we have to treat them like adults, and just like any other member of the church. My husband is very passionate about his responsibility as a pastor. My son's wife is with someone else and although my son had tried to reconcile their marriage, I don't think she is willing to try. I have sighted a lot of comments about the pastors children, the pastor's responsibilities in bringing up their kids in a godly manner, but at the end of all these, it all comes down to individual choices. We can't force it on them. They say that we put them under a lot of stress and we don't want to scare our children away. We are very sad about what had happened but glad that we still have our children and hope one day they will make the choice to follow God. God knows our heart and how much we want to use our lives for his glory, but I can't walk in my children's shoes and I'm sure they have any intention of walking in mind but people should be more sympathetic with us as pastors and parents. We are very sad about the final decision that the board has given us, we pray that God will help us deal with it and what it is exactly we are dealing with.

Q: Why Pastors Children Often Embrace Cultism, Prostitution, Etc?

A: because Salvation is a personal thing, my parents being saved doesnt guarantee my salvation ok, and wit more prayers from their parents, eventually they get saved and that testimony matters.

i have alot of examples; but it all comes to, ''so that the name of God may be glorified''

maculars,

there was a stage in my life when i began to feel the way u do. i would read lots of books for and against christianity. but what convinced me about God were the memories i have of my relationship with God as a child. When u grow up as a pastor's child, or as a child of parents who are very much involved in church, and your live revolves around church, you tend to think of God, Family, Church (and maybe even friends) in the same light. so if u feel disappointed in your family or church you feel the same way about God. but the thing is many times, in a bid to appear in control, or whatever drives them, pastor's force their children out of christianity.

I just read a book, The Visitation, a pastor nailed his fifteen year-old troublesom son to a tree. the boy got so angry with God and men that he turned completely from God and refused to see how God helped him thru that experience. Maculars, if u take a real look at your life, from childhood till date and try to focus on God and you and not church, you'll see that God has always been with you.

I really pray that God helps you overcome the feelings you have towards Him and His ppl now. But remember one thing, anyone who makes a child turn away from God would be better off hanging a mill stone on his neck and drowning in the sea. Many men of God have made theirs and other kids turn away from God,

I've got wittnesses in hur !!

Satan ko holy fire ni

Cause and effect brethren. What you put out somehow somewhere sometime spirals toward you. How can you ever have something if you never take it-- how can you ever have a grip on your child when you never take the time?

I just got back from naija a few weeks ago. It was a sobering time with my dad. I had to sit and tell him everything I felt-- those things he did thinking he was stirring me toward the 'way of life' that actually turned me away from wanting to live, how I just wanted to die. For the first time my dad listened. Made the whole trip worth it.

I'm still free-thinking and as logical as ever, but I have a relationship with my dad-- and that's worth everything.

Does that prove there's God? hmm I still see humans.

When you say cultism, are you refering to anything outside the mainstream religion of Islam, Christianity and Judaism. . . If you do not believe as a Christian does, you are called crazy. I have debated with Christians many times in an open forum and all of their reasoning is the same; you are a cult if you believe outside of the bible.

Thus, I use the bible as proof when debating with Christians. I show them what is written right in their bible in the languages they were originally revealed and they still can’t handle the facts. I have said it before and I will say it again, the bible is nothing more than an ancient soap opera. It is filled with hate, death, murder, prostitution, suicide and lust.

Look at the many contradictions, errors and non-sense stories that are written in the bible, if you are a Christian, you will realize that you are the crazy person for believing in it, living by it and dying for it.

I think it's time people stop blaming the devil or whatever external force and face the truth that whatever happens to us is nothing but our 100% fault.

There is no satan tempting or trying to destroy the pastor's family. Don't think a freaking man who goes around preaching about a powerless god backing up everything with a book full of fallacy and contraddiction is even worth the time of satan, if he should ever exist.

Don't attribute good to god and bad to evil. Humans know that they are made of both parts. it's their choice to follow the one they think it's more useful and appropriate to them

It's all about choice so please stop disturbing the devils name and blame man what's man's fault.

I am a pastor's kid. My parents nondenominational church. They always been just pastor to me than parents. I think some pastors make horrible parents. Pastors shouldn't have kids I think. Though it helps them be able to help people with their kids. But my parents were always busy with the church, sick people, deaths, prayer meetings, weddings, etc. I have a older sister and younger sisters who I guess are the good Christians my parents wanted them to be. I've never been into cultism or prostitution. I'm into girls, I use to be into drugs, and I was into Budhism which I know is all unChristian. I never tried to make my father look bad. I was raised strictly as a Christian and it seemed more like a religion than relationship to me. I was taught I was suppose to love God, but didn't see how I never met him and all I had was a book inspired by the love of God. I just did it because I had to. I didn't have any heart in it. So everything I did was routine. Good to church go to my Catholic school. I hated church and school, though I never mad bad grades I was barely in trouble for something only for my temper or attitude towards other children. I never fit in anywhere and didn't want to be. I stayed to myself. Reading. Not Harry Potter or some fictions I read about religions and their history. Spanking didn't work for me because I'd fight back so they stopped. I rarely got into trouble. I barely got caught.

Then church, I hated church people I still do. It seemed easier to trust "worldly people" than church people or any Christian people. They always made me feel like property just because I was young. I wasn't as silly as they assumed. My father stressed sometimes that we (his kids) should behave and show up for every little thing to be a good example. I guess to keep him from looking like a hypocrite. I never fit in at church or anywhere (not that I wanted to) and being so close to the pastor it was easy to see problems that people caused, the people who were so holy and Christian. I met all kinds of Christian people and very few convinced me that they were. I didn't want to be like the religous ones. And the good ones, the good Christian teens to me are like robots. I don't see Christianity as anything but some kind of slavery. And people go back to Christianity because they get knocked down by the world so hard they need God to pick them up again. I don't want any of that. I do believe in God, I don't know if it's the same God you'd agree because I don't see a loving God. I don't mean to put any Christian down from what I've said.

I dont know if people are aware of the overall negative effect of their words when they can only respond to inquiries by quoting bible verses that may or may not be relevant.

I have nothing aginst quoting the bible, but Jesus himself did not only use bible verses when teaching. He also used stories from nature and common sense, among other things.

And as someone pointed out, there is too much hate speech disguised as Christianity. Such speech is nothing more than the Christian version of terrorism. If you live by the sword you will also die by the sword- this is also in the bible. Trying to score brownie points and terrorize people by threatening them with fire and brimstone ( as if God is your personal messenger), accomplishes nothing.

A lot of non-Christians actually have a better understanding of Christianity than many so-called Christians. So if your only response to an inquirer about or a mocker of your religion is to threaten thunder, then check yourself. You may not be much better than the person you're preaching to. That's the irony of religion, and a trap for many.

It's really sobbering to notice your longing to feel important. You as well as many others feel this "burden"-- self inflicted, I might add-- to wittness your gospel, as mindlessly as possible. I will not stand before your god's court-- despite your ernest wish-- and he will not play any video tape of this message I'm typing you right now. He cannot and will not do anything, simply because he doesn't exist. If you wish we have an intelligible discourse, carefully and systematically read reply my last message to you, then we have some base.

If you don't care, you can ramble on about how you idol will judge me, and I'll continue to tell you she he doesn't exist.

P.S stop using caps like a slowpoke.

Bible thumpers.

I don't know if you ever stop and think about this message you thump, and about the God Idol abi big baby you think you serve. You have no message for me, simply because you cannot prove hell is real, neither can you prove God is, neither can you prove heaven is. All you have is hear-say, and sorry that is not enough for me. You worship a god with characteristics you do not understand, and defend your delusion with "oh god is so mighty and unfathomable" yet his unimaginable depth only shows when you face some contradicting side to him. Put your eyes in the water and think with your eyes open. You will find out that god lives in your head, and in your community-- the like-minded fellows you worship with; look beyond your little box, and your god disappears.

I'm in search of a being greater than the dumb-idol you worship, a being with reasoning. Till I find him (or it, or whatever), I remain agnostic.

Please allow me indulge you. For this statement, you're either very silly, or very brain-washed to shut your eyes that blatantly. Your "righteous" starve, and your "holy" die of food poisoning, and your god's seed make babies they cannot feed. More "righteous" men are going to beg bread this sunday. Christians apall me with their ignorance.

There is no siting on the fence when it comes to God. You have to take a stand.

YOU EITHER CONTINUE TO BE ANGRY, NOT FORGIVE YOUR DAD, LIVE A SINFUL LIFE AND DIE IN YOUR SINS ON YOUR WAY TO HELL.

OR

YOU REPENT BE BORN ANEW FLEE FROM SIN BE HOLY INWARD AND WITHOUT HAVE DIRECT COMMUNICATION WITH GOD (WHICH IS THE SWEETEST THING A MAN CAN HAVE) AND YOUR WAY TO HEAVEN.

Mathew 6 v

24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

IT SAY ONCE I WAS YOUNG NOW OLD I AM I HAVE NEVER SEEN THE RIGHTEOUS FORSAKEN NOR HIS SEED BEG FOR BREAD.

HOW LOVELY AND BLESSED IT IS TO BE PRIEST ONTO GOD

I'll remain on the fence, that way I'll get the best of both worlds. If you're right (which doesn't change anything) then cool, I don't mind being wrong. But there's no judge to determine that. All we have with religion is our guts, nothing more-- your convictions. If logic plays different to different people, the perceptions will most certainly differ-- even between you and me.

The greatest genius was not the man that knew everything, but sought knowledge-- and found it. The real question is what is the truth

You must know a man that Lived at about the time of Shakespeare he Translated the Bible to English HIS NAME WAS WILLIAM TYNDALE.

Tyndale, William c.1494-1536. William Tyndale was probably born in Gloucestershire. He became chaplain in the house of Sir John Walsh in about 1521. He had studied at both Oxford and Cambridge and was a strong supporter of the movement for reform in the Church. His opinions involved him in controversy with his fellow clergymen and about 1522 he was actually summoned before the Chancellor of the Diocese of Worcester on a charge of heresy.

William Tyndale was the Captain of the Army of Reformers, and was their spiritual leader. Tyndale holds the distinction of being the first man to ever print the New Testament in the English language. Tyndale was a true scholar and a genius, so fluent in eight languages that it was said one would think any one of them to be his native tongue. He is frequently referred to as the “Architect of the English Language”, (even more so than William Shakespeare) as so many of the phrases Tyndale coined are still in English language today.

My brother you Just need to make your Mind up.

prayer can work wonders.

people you can see that a man is Just a man. Follow Christ and follow no man. The religion of the worship of man is death.

I have a child I correct him in love.

I USE THE WHIP yes BUT THERE IS MORE emotion WHEN I APOLOGISE for BEATING him and he is happy with me (if I cant apologise for beating him I DONT TOUCH HIM MOST OF THE TIMES). his mother my wife is Ghanaian and my son loves Nigeria more than Ghana though he speaks many Ghana Languages.

I ASKED HIM WHAT IS HIS NAME HE SAID "SEGUN ARINZE OBASANJO" owing to the fact that Nigerians here are not generally liked because of image, competition for honors and others things.

I BEAT HIM WITH LOVE IN MY HEART BECAUSE I HAVE LEARNT IT FROM NO ONE BUT CHRIST. JUST READ THE WORDS OF CHRIST YOU WILL SEE WHO YOU SHOULD FOLLOW. WHEN I WAS A KID I WAS BEATEN AND IT ONLY BROUGHT SOMETIMES HATRED BUT WHEN I AM SPOKEN IT IS MORE PAINFUL AND IT BROKE MY STONY HEART.

Find christ he will give you the love that you need. dont follow no man follow him(CHRIST) by prayer and reading of his word.

Let me tell you this, if you are a real Christian you will know the very essence of Christ coming. He did call people serpents( likened them to Serpents) that was God talking and still talks hard.

Matthew 23 verse

33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

THIS PEOPLE WERE "RIGHTEOUS" BUT THEY WERE SELF RIGHTEOUS

2 Cor 4 verse

2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

God can love and hate someone you can;t rule that out. you will now have to choose who you shall be Satan or Jesus'

Romans 9 verse

13As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

It even goes to say that He Abhors this is a more stronger the word than Hate.

Psalm 5 verse

5The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.

6Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.

proverbs 22 verse

14 The mouth of strange women is a deep pit: he that is abhorred of the LORD shall fall therein.

He shall laugh at there folly. It is not me that is saying this and we can not escape the Holy and Loving Judgment of The Holy God. you should not have a problem with me if it not the word of God I will write a rejoinder and apologize.

WHEN A COURT JUDGE SENTENCES AN OFFENDER OF THE LAW IS IT THE CRIME HE SEND TO JAIL OR THE CRIMINAL?

THE WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT IS READY AND IS WAITING FOR THE UNSAVED THAT REFUSE JESUS.

Psalm 2v4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.

proverb 1: 26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;

God will have his own time of Laughter and it will be horrible, I don't wish any one to die saith the Lord.

DOES THIS MEAN THAT HE IS ALL HELL AND HATE EVEN YOU COME TO HIM WITH A REPENTANT HEART? NO. GOD IS HUMBLED AND PRICKED BY A REPENTANT HEART. GOD CAN MAKE YOU HIS FRIEND AS HE DID TO ABRAHAM HE IS SO HUMBLE THAT HE WOULD TAKE PERMISSION FROM A RIGHTEOUS MAN TO DO JUDGMENT (AS HE DID TO SODOM AND GOMORRAH) THIS IS A HOLY VERY HUMBLE GOD A MAN OF WAR AND YET STILL HUMBLE AND DREADFUL.

Psalm 73 verse 1

Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.

I am however not in the Majority and I take refuge in the fact that he said

Luke 6 verse

26 Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.

but I must get ready for the coming Judgment

Hmmn, I believe every parent should train their children, irrespective of the positions in the society, wether pastors, or wat ever, cos children are by extension, a representative of the family they come from, even with their tight schedule's,parents should make out time to see what their children do so as to avoid such future embarassments and disgrace,

macalurs i feel u. i know pastors' kids who went the wrong way because they were angry with their parents. i was fortunate that my father didnt become a pastor till i was 8, and that even then he always supported me and my siblings. we were very free when we were growing up and we could question anything. my parents didnt force God on their children. several times church members would report me to my parents but they always supported me in public.

It's funny when people talk like they know anything, when truly they know just a tea-spoon full.

To everyone that made a post here saying the devil attacks pastors thru their children, how many times were u a pastor with kids, or did u ever meet the devil? oh no it get's worse: how many of u are actually pastors children?

If someone here has taken a course in psychology, someone'd know the term "hard-wire". A hard wire is a simple code that drives or restricts someone automatically.

I'm a pastor's son. let me tell u what it was like in just one word: HELL. Did anyone of u ever say to himself: "I'll never grow up to be like my father!"? Well that was my hardwire. Why?

My father set his moral standards. He preached in church and everyone thot he was an angel. But he had an anger disorder. He needed help. Instead of cautioning me when I did wrong, he'd use me as the topic of his sermon, which made the members treat me like the devil. Funny enough whatever u put into someone is what u get out.

Instead of trying to correct me, he spent all that time trying to show the world I was evil. At age 7, if u were me who exactly would u wanna be like-- jesus? ur pastor-dad? God forbid.

See it's awesome to castigate especially when it aint u, for chrissakes it's fun. Growing up, all I wanted to do was disapear. I was 18 when I left the house and I'm out of the house for good. My parents drove me away from christianity, when they thot they were actually "doing their best". I and my younger sister were the deviants from the norm. But my dad never hit my sister as much as he lov'd to hit me. He'd hit me so hard so the neighbors would know he was trying his best; and when I got 'tough' and wouldn't cry, he hit me so hard u would know someone was dying just so everyone would know I was his problem. I do have anger problems myself right now, but I'm working on it. I didn't turn atheist yet but my dad had more flaws than me, he just didn't know.

before u point a finger, try thinking with both sides of ur brain, it helps.

I think the parents(pastors) should not restrict the kids too much. They should stpplacing too many "don'ts" and allow the kids to live their lives. All they should do is show them the good and bad, then the kids will chose the way to go,even God did same to us. They should also live exemplary lives so the kids will copy them.

0

@ GL,it is very true all you have said. When we were young,my folks were always like don't do this, don't do that and you know it is in human nature to do the things that they say "don't do", and you even go deeper when you see there is no immediate consequence.Thing is our parents overblew somethings out of proportion and when we found out that most of these things are not "bad" like applying makeup and stuff like that,we now used it ,some of us tend to overdo it sef.Annoying thing is people expect too much from me and at times, it weighs me down when I do not live to expectation and people raise eyebrows. If you are not careful, you could end up being a pretender so that "they will not talk". For me,I have long drawn the line to where people should expect from me, I do not pretend top be good, I am not "bad" either. I am serving God in my own way and being myself and so far,I think I have tried.

I'm a pastor's child and have many friends who are also pastors' children. When I was young I used to hear this stuff about pastors' kids misbehaving because their parents were busy binding the devil and d devil now attacks the kids to distract the parents. It might be true. I'm not a spirit so I can't be sure. I know however, that there's much more to misbehaviour amongst pastors' kids.

All children misbehave, some more than others, but ppl expect so much from pastors' kids(PKs) and this is always a burden on them. At first they try to pretend because of their parents', usually the parents also warn them to conform to the expectations of church members. B4 long, the PKs start to feel deprived of many things they'd have loved to do (e.g. harmless partying, wearing jewelry and certain clothes etc.). This builds up anger and bitterness, not just at their parents or church, but many times at Christianity or even God (since all their lives they've associated God and christianity with their family and church). By the time they bcome teenagers or are old enough to insist on their way, they become rebellious and join all sorts of groups.

This will not be so for all PKs who misbehaved, but I believe a large majority of them can identify with this.

1) Christianity

2) Professing Christians

3) Jesus Christ, the Son of God

4) None of the above

5) All of the above

If you can solidly choose answer#4, then I would ask you whats the reason of your Christianity-Bashing on NL. I know you cant choose#4. So whats the deal, which of them are you vexed with?

I don't live in Nigeria, but have visited it several times with a few of my friends. To me, it seems that most people in your country do either of two things:

# they spend their lives attacking other people's faiths

# they blame their crises on religion, especially Christianity.

Whatever a person feels like, one thing I noticed is that some of those doing the attacking are first to use racist and hate speech (and in some other instances, they will be the last to give it up, if ever they do). You come across to me as a guy who manifests a special virulent disavowal against Christianity, following your posts.

Let's look at it this way: do you think I would be correct in my perception if I wrote every Nigerian off as a fraudster (from President to policeman to pressman to petty trader to pauper and what have you) just because a few Nigerains gave me a surprise and rough deal of the popular "419" saga at the airport in Lagos in my summer holiday of 2002? Oh, I became the wiser for it; and maybe I would have really thought you were a 419 as well without having met you, had it not been that I met (and am seriously dating) a Nigerian Christian?

So, hope you get my drift? There's no use being vexed against Christianity as a faith just because you don't like it. You may be opposed to fraudsters playing Christianity (and in some very bad cases, they play God!) - and who do you think in Christianity would not be equally upset? The point is, slurring the faith of other people is not an intelligent and gentlemanly way to reason with them, neither does it tell well about who you are as a Nigerian (if I'm not mistaken).

You don't need to keep up trumping just about anything against Christianity simply because you're not one and don't like the faith. Most of the things you post are mere speculations and you borrowed them in such a manner as if they hold any substance. Jesus Christ is not responsible for the evil perpetrated in His name; and one day He will judge the sad fellows in their games. The Christian faith is a living faith, and using hate speech and acrid language against Christians is a very unintelligent thing to do.

To tell you the truth,my soul ain't vexed, but full of pity for the blind.

I guess some "annointed" fraudsters will continue to reap great material rewards from the ignorant masses, while the children of these "holy" fraudsters will continue to try and emulate the "righteous" ways of their fathers by burying themselves in all sorts of vices.

The devil is always a convenient scapegoat to shift the blame on,ofcourse.

@jagunlabi,

There are frauds in every system - from religion to science to philosophy to culture and what have you. Hating people does your vexed soul no good. Christianity is no fraud, and if there are fraudsters in Christebdom, that's not new: they were long prophecied, and one day God will expose them.

Pastor's kids going into cultism, prostitution and evil?

its for the same reason that children of ordinary people(Christian, Muslim or whatever) go into such evil and vices.

Ofcourse, the society expects a high-moral standard from them. But for those of them who stand by the truth that their parents preach, are we not the ones who call them names? make them look silly, tease them that they are out of fashion, out of date; we wont even befriend them coz they would rather do things by the books, they would rather tell the truth than tell lies, and as a result, we do not allow them into our group of friends.

But when anyone of them gets pregnant in secondary school, we are the first to point fingers. Remember, as you point a finger at someone else, your own 4-fingers are pointing back at you.

I read a book where the author said: Satan spends double-time on Pastor's Kids than on children of out-right sinners. The reason is to discredit the ministry, discredit the calling and tarnish the reputation of their parents. These kids are human like us, they make the same mistakes, and their parents been in Church is no reason for them to be naturally good.

The author of the Satanic Bible was born by a baptist pastor. He grew up in Church, sang in the Choir and still went on to turn Gods word upside down.

Isnt that a lesson for those who think they are standing? Beware, take heed lest you fall. If you hold on to the cross, you wont fall.

There you go again, jagunlabi. Everyone at one point or the other who points accusing fingers at others without checking himself/herself out is the biggest fraud. I have a Nigerian boyfriend who says there's a Nigerian adage from the south: "Whenever you point a finger at someone, three are pointing back at you, and your thick little thumb most likely is pointing at God!" I think that makes sense. You do not understand the Christian faith at all, and it has shown in almost every one of your posts in the Religion Forum. What do you really have against a faith you cannot stop or slow down? What has your vexed soul done for you with all your virulent slurring of a faith you really have no inkling about?

@everyone,

Let's see it from this angle: it basically has to do with the nature of man. Even outside religious discussions, we know of people from socially well-to-do families who have messed up: politicians, financiers, academics, top government officials, and several others. If it's not the sons or daughters, it's either the husband, wife or in-laws.

Now about kids of pastors and other leaders of the Church, no matter how hard a minister tries to bring up his family, it all rests on the condition of heart of the PK (pastor's kids). Long ago, God had told us that the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked (Jer. 17:9). Everyone's heart before they came to a living faith in Christ is wicked, and that goes as well for those who know nothing better than to attack the things of God. However, this evil tendercy of the heart was manifested in several kids during the Old Testament times, so that it became a by-word in Israel (Ezek. 18:2), and then God revealed that a individual (young or adult) is fully responsible for his/her own sins - "The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him." (Ezek. 18:20). QED.

The fact that my parents are Christians does not automatically guarantee that I'm a Christian - I'm no better than anyone else, unless I come to a personal faith in Jesus - and thank God, I already have. And if my parents were ministers in the Church, my choosing to do drugs and drag the name of the Lord into disrepute should not be blamed on my parents - it should be squarely blamed on me. . . because my actions are personal and reflect my own choices!

For those kids doing all they can to win public sympathy by ridiculing their parents who are in ministry, may God be merciful on them. The bigger issue is not the blame on their parents - it's more about answering to God for the disgrace they bring to His name!

No one is saying that pastors' kids r angels. It stil remains a fact that the devil will fight tooth n nail to make sure that the images of dese men of God are tanished n so bring shame to God's name. In so doing, they go thru anything or person close to them.

Pls, "stop judging that u will not be judged, don't make anybody infallible,

and remember to expect failure from humans", note if angels that stayed b4

God day and night could fall, what about imperfect humans?

Children will be trained and no parent will train their child to go wrong, but

remember that choices made by us as individuals are not made by our parents,

we make our own decisions, we choose to become what we want to God gave us

free will, hence it's being exercised by all.

The only perfect beings are those in heaven (God, Jesus and the faithful angels)

all others r not, so nobody shld be made out one, at best we can only live by strict

principles (bible based, or what inborn) but we can never be perfect on this earth.

My piece!!

Even pastors' children are human just like the rest of us. They're subject to the same temptations everyone else has to deal with. so....

Hey everybody, you all are talking as if pastors' kids are angels. They are all human beings and are capable of doing what "normal" folks do.They are 100% human, not 50% human,50% angel or saint.I for one,am one,and I don't feel any different from others,so stop all this talk of "pastors' kids".Don't get me wrong,I don't support any of these vices, but people should stop castigating pastors' kids for their actions,we are human beings and I get miffed whenever people think pastors' kids should be next to angels. Its the parents who are the pastors, not the kids.Sorry to disappoint you,but pastors' kids are 100% human beings!!!
