2. Bilal (Franck) Ribery
Another French player, who works for Munich ‘Bavaria’ Franck Ribery converted to Islam not alone but with his wife Wahiba. In one of his interviews, Ribery said: ‘I always pray five times a day. And I do it so in order to have the opportunity to be free and, after prayer, I feel better’.
In order to fight the alcohol dependence Ribery opened a bar in his beloved home town of Boulogne-sur-Mer. It is a non-alcoholic bar, where visitors are offered with fruit juice.
3. Habib (Kolo) Toure

The main central defender of ‘Arsenal’ and one of the best modern football players in the English Premier League Kolo Toure is Muslim too. He comes from the Ivory Coast. Toure has repeatedly expressed his wish to become ‘an example’ for all young British Muslims.
4. Umar (Frederic) Kanoute
A citizen of Mali and France, which is today the Spanish forward of ‘Seville’ Frederic Kanoute converted to Islam 12 years ago, at the age of twenty. Noteworthy is the story of his refusal to wear the shirt ‘Seville’, where the ads of gambling website were displayed.
5. Karim Benzema
A player was born in the suburbs of Lyon in a religious Muslim family. His parents immigrated to France from Algeria. Benzema is a forward and he plays for the Spanish ‘Real’ and the national team of his country.
