Trinity Gay passed away from numerous injuries continued following a shoot-out in an automobile park. The teenager is believed to have been caught in the crossfire of a supposed bunch of criminals’ assault. The girl was hit in the neck at the moment when two groups of criminals in two vehicles began shooting.
Tyson Gay confirmed his beloved daughter`s passing away to a TV station, LX 18. In particular, the sportsman admitted:
“She didn’t make it. I’m so bewildered. She was just here last week for autumn break. It is so crazy. At the moment I have no idea what happened”.
Mark Wetmore, the sportsman’s agent, in a sms to the Associated Press also proved that Gay’s daughter was shot dead.
The sprinter also told the journalists that he was very close to Trinity, who tried to follow in his footsteps as a growing track superstar. After shooting, Trinity was delivered to the University of Kentucky hospital and soon passed away there.
Shoshanna Boyd, her mama, admitted reporters:
“She was so blameless, she was so innocent. I just want people to stop shooting and understand who they are hurting. It’s just accidental. They don’t understand, they don’t understand who they’re hurting”.
What really happened?
Lexington police reported that policemen attended the automobile park of a “Cook Out” restaurant after many eyewitnesses told about an exchange of gunfire amid two cars.
Police also reported that the deadly gunfire happened at about 4am on Sunday before two automobiles drove away. At the moment it is believed that Trinity Gay was just a passerby. She was not in any of the cars, which were portrayed as a dark sports car with painted windows and a “Dodge Charger”.

In the evening of October 16, police arrested a 21-years-old Dvonta Middlebrooks. He was charged with motiveless endangerment and ownership of a firearm by a convicted criminal. In addition, detectives concluded that at the time of the incident Middlebrooks was in the parking lot and made numerous shots. Police also questioned another man. However, he was not charged.
In particular, police statement says:
“A juvenile who was struck at the scene was transported to a hospital by private vehicle and then transferred to the University of Kentucky hospital, where she was pronounced deceased. The victim has been identified by the Fayette county coroner’s office as 15-year-old Trinity Gay of Lexington”.

The prominent sprint coach and the Olympic gold medalist Ato Boldon wrote in his Twitter:
“Condolences to Tyson Gay and his family”.
The celebrated USA football player Chad Johnson also made a statement:
“My condolences and prayers to Tyson Gay and the rest of the Gay family. May God give you strength in this time of need”.
As an athlete, Trinity Gay ran for Lafayette high school. She made a respect for herself locally with success as 200 and 100 meters sprinter.
The Kentucky high school athletics association representative, Julian Tackett, admitted that “The life of such potential cut so tragically short”. In his Twitter he wrote:
“Shocked to hear of the death of Trinity Gay. I have no words… Sympathies to Tyson and entire family”.
Tyson Gay is American 100 meters record owner. He is the second fastest athlete on the planet after Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt.
The sportsman participated in the last three summer Olympics. At the 2012 London Games Tyson Gay was part of a squad that won silver medals in the 4 x 100 meters relay.
