Today mass media reported very sad news. At the age of 47 years John Ene Okon died. Until his death, he was the head coach of the Nigerian football team called Calabar Rovers. Earlier the man played in it. The manager of a soccer team told that John was sick and died this morning.
"His death is, undoubtedly, a very sad event. He was sick, but we were allocated and believed that he will settle into shape. But it didn't happen. Despite an illness, he excellently worked. During the season, he managed to gather a new team's line-up. He was ready to train them, but suddenly there was a misfortune. He was a true professional of his business. Therefore, it is a big loss for us. We also bring a condolence to his relatives".
The former coach of the team and John’s partner said: "I have lost not only the remarkable colleague, but also a good friend. We had many unforgettable moments together. It is very unfair that John died right now. I am very grateful to him for that period, in which we were lucky to work together".
John Ene Okon took part in FIFA 1987 and in Cup of Nations in 1992 with Super Eagles team.
