Yeah i agree with you but why leave to a club that denied you the Champions league title dont make no sense to me, Its cowardly to say the least, Imagine Gerard joining Milan

Cashely is worse than Henry o, although Henry did bail on us eventually

The plain truth is that like any other job football itself is a profession for these guys and they need to move on and make more money (if thats what they want), just like anyone of us would in our own various jobs.

Ashley Cole

Going behind the clubs back and talking to a rival club cos they were going to pay more is disrespectful to a club that made u who u are.

Henry

8 years at Arsenal is no joke, i'm not too mad at him, he wanted that last big money move before his speed starts fading away, at least he didnt have talks behind Arsenal's backs (He showed the club respect) having said all that his departure was sudden and it didn't feel like something he'lld been wanting to do, it felt like something he did out of desperation as events unfolded.

Bergkamp

Well what can i say, a damn good player who was not full of himself, gave a 101% and played for the love of the game and club and not the money

Ashely Cole was a snitch so was Henry none of thems numbers deserves to be retired

Loyika, please don't use cashley cole and Henry in the same sentence, talk less of bab Dennis Bergkamp (In my opinion Arsenal's most faithful for foreign player)

its not about the no ,its the history behind the no.

if at all we would be giving sum1 else that shirt ,its got to be sum1 that can, not only wipe that slate clean, but write sumtin better on it,

aint convinced that sum1 is walcott

Let them give that number to Theo Walcott, it would give him a big confident boost

not retired per se.

kept until his son is old enuff to play for ac.

Igwe is maybe the best thing to have happened to Arsenal in recent times but retiring the jersey no is not worth it, i believe a player has to end his career in that club for that to happen just like Maldini's no 3 for AC will be retired for him.

Naah we shouldnt retire that number not in the manner he left us, besides if every number was retired we would probably have american football numbers on our jersey.let them give that number to someone else

I think its ridiculous retiring the shirt, i mean we've seen many greats in other clubs and their shirt numbers were not retired. I don't think TPTB will even think of doing that.

i understand that he had to move on, but for me, in order for that jersey to be retired he would have had to have ended his career at Arsenal, having said that, he's the best player we've ever had but if we were to retire any jersye i would say Bergkamp's number 10 cos as well as showing all those skills he also showed Arsenal everlasting commitment even when he was only offered 1 year deals, teh dude could have gone to another club but stuck with us. 10 years with the Arsenal ,now that is the sort of jersey u retire

for how long are we going to keep the jersey no . . .

why not give Adebayor?

or beta still the new pivot of the team- Fab4?

abeg no sentiments jare, even defenders now wear what was exclusively the preserve of Strikers/Midfielders then - - -KB of Chelsea, Gallas of Arsenal

CHUCKDEE,

a player has to move on. frankly speaking. TH 14 needs retirement. the guy is an arsenal legend and he is the best player so far to wear a GOONER jersey.

If Dennis Bergkamp's number 10 was not retired i don't see why Henry's 14 should be retired. Its just a number, the guy bailed on us when we needed him the most (Although he's still an Arsenal legend) irrespective he will always be remembered but not to the point of having his jersey retired

Not even edebayor no julio baptista desreves the number 14, henry is our greatest player and should be recognised by retiring the number

Arsenal should give it to ADEBAYOR.

As a real gunner since 1990's,id like the NUMBER 14 to be retired and put in the museum of the club and also HENRY to be inducted into the club HALL OF FAME, TH is the best ever player to come out of arsenal, i wish henry luck in his new challenge,BUT

IM STILL A GUNNER 4 LIFE!

hell no!!!

what we need to do is get another first class striker, give him the shirt. and let him wear it long enuff to write another no14 jersey story.
